The Bay series 2 starts on ITV wed 20 Jan at 9pm Week by week no spoilers please

Cant find a link to it on ITV but it is 2 years later than the first series and our dodgy heroine has been demoted. And then ...

No! Poor Med. We didn't need that. And Lisa at the end..hmmm. Not sure why Joe A looks so cute in Doc Martin, but so unattractive in this. Maybe it's the character.

That last scene made me want to puke and scream with anger at the same time.

I blame that turnip Tovey who has set this trend for skin head retro, never a good look for scrawny white men. Grin

And yes poor Med. Hope it means the actor has in fact had a better offer in some other implausible series!

I was going to say the Oliver plot twist was a step too far but having watched episodes of long lost families seems well within the bounds of possibilities.

But am beginning to long for a crime drama where the focus is on the crime and solving it. Not exploring dysfunctional families. Leave that to the soaps.

How come real mum didn’t know Stephen was dead and still turned up to the hotel?
A solicitor shot dead on his own doorstep at a family BBQ must have been on the local news and in the papers?!

I'm enjoying this series much more than the first.
She's going to fall for her ex again, and regret it.
I think the two that play her kids are very good.
Still sticking to my original predication - Zoe out of Casualty - whatever her name is in this - she's the key to unlocking it all.

I don’t recall there being a press conference. The family would have been asked to do an appeal for information.
And in a total change of subject, can I say how much I hate those sponsorship adverts by Seat - they are really creepy!

I think quite a lot happened in this issue not only in terms of the crime and why it might have happened but also on the personal stories.

The man with the tatoo may of may not be the shooter. I thought his tatoo was described by the young boy as being black on one side and white on the other. The one on the man in the police cell was all black.

Great that the two women officers are off to (maybe) solve the case!

re ads. Although I record episodes that is just as a back up as I usually watch on the catch up service with no ads.

Ok. So basically hubby Stephen was killed by wife roses lover frank who thought rose would leave Stephen and run away with him

She had no intention of doing that

So crossed wires led to the death of Stephen

Tho if she wasn’t being unfaithful he wouldn’t be dead

Not sure why she stole the money

And lisa and kids were deceived by ex/dad as he had another family Stephanie and Alfie

I enjoyed it although I did think they left Med’s death, Breakwater and Mark’s involvement as loose ends.
But another series to look forward to!
