Still not taking to Nick’s kid.

Akire · 08/02/2021 22:49

I’m calling a Nicks roof has blown off and they need to stay at the flat.

@BenoneBeauty

This is really bad and totally superficial but I find Simon completely repulsive. I don't know if it's what they've done to the character, his awful acting or purely on looks alone but i really wish they'd write him out of it.
He's an actual real person you know Shock Hmm
PinkDaydreams · 09/02/2021 07:38

I found last nights second epsiode really boring!
It seemed to focus on there being no WiFi and an auction bidding war. Not much else happened. Unfortunately missed the first episode so that may have been a bit more enjoyable.

Roussette · 09/02/2021 07:51

Pink that was more or less the first episode too!

Daisy is sooo annoying, no redeeming features whatsoever. Not funny, not any depth to her character and why in god's name - as a PP said - did Jenny just roll over after Daisy was so nasty about her and Jonny?

lollipoprainbow · 09/02/2021 08:12

Daisy is super annoying can't stand the pouty way she talks !

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 09/02/2021 09:57

When did Ryan and Daisy get together. I didn't even know he and Alya had split up. I've never missed an episode either so I dont know how I missed that.
That was soooooooo predictable Gail being left in Teds will buying the Platts' old hOuse back. Inheriting from her father of course isn't far fetched. What is far fetched is the fact is the fact that she's got the money already,

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 09/02/2021 10:01

Posted too quick.
No probate no nothing.

I feel sorry for Simon. His poor mind must be in a turmoil with everything that's going on.

JackieWeaverIsTheAuthority · 09/02/2021 10:10

They haven’t as far as I know!

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 09/02/2021 10:25

Oh I don't know why I got the impression they were together.

Optimist1 · 09/02/2021 11:03

Daisy was certainly making a move on him, but he did try to put her right by referring to the fact that Alya was his girlfriend. He was fairly easily manipulated into telling Daisy she was gorgeous, though, which will only encourage her, I'm sure.
eggandonion · 09/02/2021 11:21

Hes a bit dim, but I hope hes scared of Daisy.
I wish I had a long lost relation I never thought about who apparently had wads of cash in my name.

Roussette · 09/02/2021 11:24

I did laugh at Gail getting the money in about 5 minutes after her Dad died.
And also... there would never only be three bidders all who know each other, bidding for a property like that! I must learn to suspend belief a lot more !

PrincessScarlett · 09/02/2021 12:46

Definitely the most unbelievable plot that Gail gets her inheritance the same week her dad died. In my experience it has taken well over a year in one case and many many months in another.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 09/02/2021 13:11

@eggandonion. Same Grin

Akire · 09/02/2021 14:50

I thought Daisy was getting married? Didn’t she bring a fella the first time we saw her? I agree totally annoying just there to be mean to Jenny. Plenty of existing characters could do that.

Housewife2010 · 09/02/2021 15:15

Daisy is a pain in the arse. She should disappear down Gail's sinkhole.

I think he ditched her (off-screen) a week or two back. Can’t say I blame him.

I am in the middle of probate at the moment. It is over a year now and still going on.My solicitor blames it on Covid regulations.I should ask Gail which solicitor she is dealing with, if any.

SophieB100 · 09/02/2021 19:37

In Corrie Land you can buy sell and buy a house in just one day.
In Corrie Land you are broke, hard up, on your uppers and still manage to breakfast in Roy's Rolls for a full English, lunch at the Rovers, all hail Betty's Hot Pot, and dinner in Speed Dial - or, if you're really scraping the barrel, a kebab from Dev's.
In Corrie Land, your father can die on a Friday, and you will have the funds 3 days later to bid on a house. Bid on a house no less, against someone who was broke 6 weeks ago, because they had pledge all their money on helping their husband fund an implausible court case to keep his son alive. Which would take years. But in Corrie Land, took a month.

woodhill · 09/02/2021 20:19

It would have been more sensible if Gail's father had died a while back and she'd kept quiet about the money but still bought the house

Akire · 09/02/2021 21:43

Maybe Daisy has some tragic sob story and she’s hiding it by being a cow to everyone (clutches at straws)

Housewife2010 · 10/02/2021 17:49

Don't forget that in Corrieland if you've had enough, you can pack up your life's possessions and move to that London by the end of the episode.
