Gail is hanging round the factory cleaning, but she only does it if someone is actually there and sat at the desk she wants to dust! Oh, and she wears a tabard.

It can't be easy writing plots for Corrie but the Simon/drug runner thing is really tedious. I think the writers have lost their imagination. And are on repeat.
Bike stolen, no.2 bike run over. Etc etc. And Leanne is the most unloving parent imaginable, you'd think she'd just try to be nice to him

This Daisy character needs to bugger off she's so annoying, is anyone like that in real life? She talks in such an overly camp way its ridiculous!

Leanne is so unlikeable now. Please let them give Simon a happy storyline for once. So sick of all these petty criminal storylines at the moment.

The Simon storyline is so predictable.
I don't like the character either but at least give him something positive. The girlfriend storyline would have been nice.

They've obviously brought Daisy in for a reason, but can't work out why she wants Johnny out of the picture. I quite enjoyed last nights episode, David can be very funny sometimes and the scenes with him, Tracy and Mary did make me laugh - it reminded me of how corrie used to be.
I find myself sighing heavily and looking through my phone when the Simon story line is on and Leanne is just unnaturally horrible to him!

Daisy wants Jimmy out the picture so her and Jenny can run the pub together, I reckon.

Despite her panto-style acting I'm quite liking and can see potential for Daisy. I thought initially they were aiming for a ditzy Raquel-alike character but actually Daisy's wide-eyed comments are deliberate where Raquel's were innocent.

David is an abusive wee arsehole towards his mother. It's quite shocking actually.

Could Simon not get in touch with his long lost extremely wealthy Grandad and ask for a few bob, I know he tried to kidnap him years ago but that doesn't matter in Corrie, his mother is distraught with grief, his father is dying, his many step parents don't seem to give a shit about him (sometimes Nick does though) and now he's a drug dealer with no transport, he needs a break the poor lad.

Unless the long lost Grandad is dead and I've forgotten that bit.

Agree with everyone about bringing back the funny side of the street, it's badly needed, to be fair to Mary and Tracey they do their best and I like the pair of them sparking off each other.

Davids financial worries will be over now that (hardly ever mentioned) Ted is dead.

Gail needs to go off on another get away from them all long holiday,it did her the world of good last time, her family just use her.

I've noticed that even though most of the characters have been back at some point since the plague arrived we haven't seen Beth at all have we, I hope the actor is ok in real life.

So true - he's not exactly short of father figures, even if his actual dad is a dead loss. (Sorry Peter fans!) I felt so sorry for him when Nick brushed him off last night - he must think he's been dumped by everyone, as well as his Mum and Dad.

Also, knowing their finances intimately, why hasn't Nick been involved in making sure all's well, whilst he's off playing Dad to Sam?

Leanne has always been unlikeable and is even more so now. Everyone understandably rallied round her when her son was dying but she was vile to every single one of them.
Now its just a pity party and her ignoring the son she does have. And still everyone is being lovely with her.

Did she not wonder how Simon gets the money to pay off the electricity bill or whatever?

It doesn’t fit true to character that Leanne would just stay at home and let Simon support her. Even up until Oliver died she was fiercely too proud to take help. There’s no way she would do that to Simon.

@ellenanora5 I don’t think Simon’s rich grandad is dead, but Anthony Valentine who played him is dead so maybe that’s why they never mention him anymore?
Beth was in it briefly around October/November time I think, I remember her talking about Oliver’s illness with Sean. I remember reading something about her having an illness in real life, diabetes maybe but can’t remember for sure, and won’t be back filming again for a while.
I wonder if we’ll ever see Izzie or Alex again? And what about Moira? It’s been over a year since she last appeared and is never mentioned. Has she left?
I agree about Daisy, horrible character and the over acting makes me cringe. Her, Grace and Todd need to be sent packing, can’t stand them, they’re nearly as awful as Kate Connor!

I’d love Gail to buy the house back and tell David he can live in the sinkhole because of how he’s spoken to her lately. Or even better to tell David that she’d inherited enough to buy the house back, but in fact she’s bought herself a villa in Barbados!

Good thinking about an inheritance to allow buy back for Gail/David. Gets that stupid storyline over with.

David gets some brilliant lines and is a future Ken Barlow I think - will be in it forever.
