Lewis? I think he was called Lewis.

Honeyroar · 30/01/2021 12:48

I actually thought Carla looked much prettier when her hair was wet and scruffy yesterday.

willFOURbagsbeenough · 30/01/2021 12:50

Yes there was a bit of life to it when it was wavy and fluffy. She should get loads of layers cut in and let the natural wave take over.

SecretRedhead · 30/01/2021 14:18

Did anyone notice the line about Tracey not wanting to wake up to see the curtains and panic she'd slept with David. Think it was Kevin that said it. Made me smile.

Templetree · 30/01/2021 15:12

@JiminyLeeCricket

Tracey wouldn't get a mortgage on a house with a sinkhole.

She'd have to be a cash buyer. And I thought she and Steve were skint after the Oliver/Leanne/let's all sell everything and give the money away episode?

If I remember correctly Tracey refused to hand over any money because it was "for Amys future" She and Steve the owl had a huge row and it became clear that Tracey and Nick both realised that any further treatment was futile.
willFOURbagsbeenough · 30/01/2021 15:21

She did mention something in the pub scene last night about all their money having been spent on Oliver’s treatment.

Templetree · 30/01/2021 15:23

Oh?
I thought she said no?
Oliver was turned down for further treatment though

willFOURbagsbeenough · 30/01/2021 15:45

I thought so too but she definitely said last night that they might struggle with the funds transfer as they sold the house originally to pay for his treatment. Maybe the writers have confused themselves. They’ve certainly confused me.

LionLily · 30/01/2021 16:01

I think she wouldn't let him sell the florists as that is her part of the empire 😃

EachandEveryone · 30/01/2021 19:03

I’ve just seen that Maureen
Lipmans rl partner has died 😒

Roussette · 30/01/2021 19:55

That's sad

I do remember when her DH died Jack Rosenthal. I'm happy that she had some years with her partner.
It was covid related too Sad

Akire · 30/01/2021 20:46

That is sad. I’m confused who owns number 1. Ken still own it? That’s why he has say on who comes and goes. They sold their little flat and the taxi office?

StillCoughingandLaughing · 30/01/2021 21:06

I thought he sold it to Steve and Tracy to find the move to Still Waters, but maybe it didn’t go through?

Why can't Michael move to Hull? It's not another country.

What is iit with grown adults still living with their parents in this show?

And then they have a go at their parents when they can't even support themselves Confused

Akire · 30/01/2021 21:46

Michael isn’t invited to Hull as it’s her Auntie. Would be different if were a couple but now they need 3 rooms!

Silenceisgolden20 · 30/01/2021 21:48

But she said her Auntie had a big house?

Silenceisgolden20 · 30/01/2021 21:49

Isn't it brilliant when these far forgotten relatives suddenly exist Grin

What luck.

TellingBone · 30/01/2021 23:10

Ken informed the family he'd changed his mind about selling No 1 after the retirement home debacle. Tracey wasn't chuffed.

Mention of Evelyn reminded me that I've previously moaned that the show needs an Ena/Phyllis/Blanche tough, no-nonsense and often comical in their bluntness northern woman type. [I've known many of them in my own life and Corra has always written them very well]. Well, I wonder whether Evelyn was meant to fill this 'gap'? If so, much as I like her character, it doesn't work because she has an emotional, vulnerable side. Nothing wrong with that but I'd still like to see such a character.

Akire · 31/01/2021 00:01

She should post on here! I’ve just left prison I’m pregnant should I ask probation and council to help rehouse me. Or move in with baby father who’s mum I hate and we fight constantly. Oh and the baby father have sleep On sofa as we are over crowded. I have a feeling the MIL will try and take over and make me feel bad but I feel like I owe the baby a family, even though I pretend a child I stole was his so not hope in hell of us every getting back together.....

eggandonion · 31/01/2021 00:37

I don't mind people living with their parents, when they are single in their twenties or a relationship breaks down. But Tracey and Steve have been married multiple times, is Carla living with Johnny in the Rovers, is Peter there or in Ken's? Eileen has Todd and always has several foster adults. So does Roy. At least Billy isn't living with parents. And parents move in, like Gail and Maureen Lipman.

Silenceisgolden20 · 31/01/2021 01:08

Oh yes not aganist grown children living with parents.
I mean in soap land they all seem to do it and then constantly have a go at the parents.

If Grace posted on here, everyone would be blaming Michael for the whole situation and urging her to leave him! Grin

eggandonion · 31/01/2021 09:22

I used to live in a Corrie type house, two adults and two small kids were a squeeze.
I don't know how the adult kids, partners and grandchildren fit in. Surely some could live in Rosamund street and pop round.

ajandjjmum · 31/01/2021 09:55

@thenightsky

Why did Peter suddenly switch from vile hatred of Carla, saying she was bad etc, to suddenly begging her to come back as she was the only one who could help him?
Maybe he listened to what Roy had to say?
