If I understood what he told Shona, then he had to pay the mortgage off. But even though the bank had previously given him a mortgage it didn't mean they would give him one now. Or something .

Although I agree that the piano is ridiculous in their flat, I think there was mention of Pail recruiting some burly guys from the cafe or something to help them get it up the stairs. He said something about them just finishing their butties

I think Gail ended up in financial trouble when she was married to joe. He had debts. That’s why David bought the house- to give her money to pay off what she/owed. I think. David would have needed a mortgage to buy it,

I thought Ray had paid him what £60k less than price of house due to sink hole. So would make sense once he paid off the house there isn’t anything left.

Nigel Havers conned Gail into taking out a second mortgage and then did a bunk with the money. She was going to lose the house, so Audrey gave David and Kylie the deposit to buy it - they got a mortgage for the rest.

I think lamping Ken, his dad, had something to do with it! Like a wake up call. And then they had a chat and he wanted to grab on to her like a lifeline.

It was almost like he was scared of her at one point. I got why he was angry, but I could completely understand why Carla read out the letter.

Beacause their relationship is toxic. Cant live with/ without. 2 addicts dependent/ co dependent.

Carla is gorgeous but I wish she’d do something with her hair. It’s just hangs there, limp, at each side of her face. And that awful colour on the ends needs to go.

I'm glad some people can remember all the property deals, I knew Gail didn't own the house now but couldn't remember why. Nigel, you cad!
If Carla's hair was gorgeous, I'd be upset because mine needs a trip to the hairdresser.
I hope Nina isn't going to be more than friends with dev's dd. I also wish the twins weren't called Aldi and Asda in my head thanks to Sheila Grant. Although Nigel Havers is called Nigel Havers as I forget his Corrie name.
