Janette always does this. In every series her choreography is designed to showcase HER and not the celebrity. Sorry for HRVY but I’m glad she didn’t win

Yes, I thought this too. Especially with the first dance I didn't actually see him doing anything, it was all her. The show dance was better, but she did acknowledge she had help with the choreography for that, which is probably why HRVY actually shone. I'm not surprised she's never reached the final before.

I didn't actually watch this series but watched the final last night. Thought Maisie was the best but obviously too much of a ringah.

Dd knows the choreographer (in fact most of the dances are co-choreographed by people behind the scenes) but this one is more of a “name” hence possibly why he was mentioned.

Caroline was certainly not lacking in confidence! Can't believe anyone got that impression! As xsquared said, quite the reverse.

For a Tring girl Caroline really disappointed me. I know it was a long time ago and dd is constantly telling me ballet training doesn’t help, but I did expect more.

Goddammit. We got Faye's Charleston over Sophie's????? Nah. No. No. No [channelling Ben Kingsley in Sexy Beast]. I like Faye but wasn't her QS already in the nominees? Sophie's was sublime.

I'm watching the strictly top 25 and confused how A.Widdie made it in. Were these meant to be the most popular voted by public as in at the time when we voted, or was there some other vote this licence payer didn't know about?!

I think they have have snuck off somewhere else.

Do you think he could have won if he was partnered with Oti this year? Or that Bill would still have won if he was partnered with someone else?

The list of 25 dances you could vote for were pre-selected according to unspecified criteria and put up on the BBC website a couple of months ago. Hence the inclusion of Aston’s apparently “iconic” Trolls dance, and Simon Webb’s Argentine Tango (which I grant you is brilliant) but not Ramprakash’s AT.

Harry Judd’s Quickstep is a particularly egregious exclusion. Ditto Sophie’s Charleston.

A lot of my favourites were there, but I was disappointed not to see Sophie’s Charleston, Georgia and Giovanni’s Charleston, or Faye and Giovanni’s theatre jazz.

Ah I see, thanks for the explanation...although I can't see DH coming down from the ceiling for anything less than another bottle of wine...he's not impressed Webb's AT was the only one in there, and certainly not happy that Balls was even in the top 10!

There were no quick steps in the whole top 25, and there have been some brilliant ones!

I didnt watch the whole programme but I remember one dance Giovanni did with (I think) Georgia and she did this (deliberate) fall which was literally inches from the floor and it was incredible.

I could watch any of their dances quite happily any time

I wish it had been a true public vote - I think it would have been very different. There should have been more ballroom at least although do agree with the top 2 - id have put Jill Halfpenny in 3rd.

What about Debbie’s tango ? That was stunning I thought.

I really enjoyed it, there was a good mix. I was expecting it to be all recent ‘fun’ dances so it was nice to see a few old ones.

I think I prefer this to the regular Christmas show.

Would have been nice to see at least one from all the series winners. I loved Kara and artem, and would rather have seen them than Ann bloody Widdicombe.

And the trolls dance? I didn’t remember it even after I’d watched it.
