5.30pm ITV1 (before the rugby) then results at 10pm (after the rugby)

I only watch tv once a year and that is to watch X Factor (I know I am sad, and should get out more...) but who is going to join me in this bundle of weekly fun?

I thought Simon le Bon looked awful in his jeans, didn't fit him well at all - really skinny legs like a real middle ager.

you know it was SD and hope in the bottom 2?

did that mean they had both scored the lowest votes? Or had they put the one with the lowest votes in and then just picked one of the others?

anniebear - I think Dermot said the results were in no particular order (I can't remember though) but I was wondering the same thing.

Did anyone hear Sharon Osbourne say that Rydian had no emotion in his eyes but Leon did ? I really think she is a very strange person.

Yes he said the results were in no particular order. I think that SD will stay till the end - Nikki will go next week I think, she will have less of a fan base unfortunately IMO. I think she's great though. Why is Simon Cowell so mean to her? I wonder if he secretly fancies her despite the fact that she's over 25?

she is a good singer (Niki) but dull - singing housewife really - no X Factor. I think that with Same Difference Simon Cowell has lumbered himself with them and is desperately trying to make a silk purse out of them so he doesn't lose face

SD should do another High School Musical song!! lol, that would get them lots of voice. My DD's loved it (whispers "so did I" lol)

I really like SD.

My views on the remaining singers (if anyone's interested);

Rhydian - good voice, know what SO means about his eyes - they do seem a little bit glazed - I think what it is is that he doesn't look directly into the camera, so doesn't engage with it, whereas others do. But definitely a good singer.

Leon - boring boring boring. He is the typical 'x factor type' - similar to that one who was runner up to Leona last year. Nothing special.

Niki - nice voice, major tuning issues, seems a nice lady, but nothing 'remarkable' as an artiste - doesn't stand out from the crowd.

Same Difference - very different act - very 'cutesy' - but they can actually both sing. Great for kids, and parties - I see them as being similar to Steps and S Club 7 which both had a market, although won't appeal to everyone. Remember Mr Blobby had a number 1! But I like them, I think they are fun, and sweet, and can sing as well which helps! I like the 'lack of moodiness' .

What I mean about Niki is that she is a lovely singer (when she's in tune), but isn't 'filling a niche' in the pop world, so if she won I see her as being a 'Steve Brookstein' or 'David Sneddon' rather than a 'Leona Lewis' or 'Will Young'.

Same Difference are wicked, my DD loves them and I actually enjoy watching them every week.
They did do a HSM song btw, they did 'Breaking Free' a couple of weeks ago.
I get really annoyed with Louis going on about Simon's choice of props etc, it looks good,
Dannii uses firework type thingies for Rhydian every week ffs!!
I also think Dannii should go, she is awful and has given all her boys the wrong choices so far IMO.

Louis is the worst judge BY FAR. Every week the same comments 'You look like a star, you sound like a star'. 'SD - I don't like you, you should be at Butlins' 'Simon made a mistake with that song choice' - er no, the only mistake Simon made was in rehiring Louis! And the way when he is introducing his acts he says 'Ok. Now we have....'. When it was G4, every week it was 'Ok. Now we have something completely unique, 4 great singers, they were busking on the street a few weeks ago - G4'. And they aren't unique - Il Divo (Simon's group) is just the same, only 10 times better, and JONATHAN AUDITIONED FOR IL DIVO, so there can be no arguments about which came first!!!

Louis and Dannii should both disappear, but tbh even Sharon 'loves' everybody which is getting annoying.
She 'loved' Hope who weren't even good enough to be a spice grils tribute ffs!
She 'loves' all the boys cos they are cute, she 'loves' any woman over 25 cos they are 'strong' it's getting tedious.
I hope SD win, I really do just to show Louis how well they will do, I know every single one of DD's friends really do love them, they are perfect disney.

IMO the reason Rhydian doesn't look at the cameras is because he doesn't have this "look at me me me me and hear my sob story" attitude that the others do.

Rhydian is 3 to 1 on to win - the bookies rarely get it wrong with those sorts of odds. Leon is second favourite, followed by nicky and sd last.

I hope sd go next week - they're ghastly, and weird.

I think the reason you can't "see it" in Rhyd's eyes are because they are too small and slitty. If they were big maybe they would go puppy dog like.

I thought Sharon made herself look a right fool saying she didn't know I vow to thee / world in union as it wasn't 'her type of music'- er no, but surely you were a child once, surely you've watched TV, have been to Church and seen ceremonies and rugby matches (but then I am in wales so maybe not the rugby).... very bizarre! Youc an't call yourself a music lover if you only ever hear one narrow genre.

Why is saying SD at Butlins being used as an insult? Shayne Ward was there this year. Louis has it in for them- my kids love them, I dont think its a bad thing the kids love them- better that than some of the inappropriate crud that kids listen to these days (and there is a amrket- DS1 has Lee Mead's album coiming for Christmas, not sure if thats a step up on his last favourite The Wurzels or not LOL)

I hope they don't have another series for a few years, they really have put it into overkill. There can't be that many decent singers left in the country who haven't but want to audition.

I just think Same Difference are a good polished act - and everyone has a target audience, it doesn't matter if it's kids - Rhydian isn't going to sell to everyone!
