I only watch tv once a year and that is to watch X Factor (I know I am sad, and should get out more...) but who is going to join me in this bundle of weekly fun?

I thought phoebe was dreadful and honestly cannot understand why everyone say she's so fantastic. The whole group are awful imo and will go as soon as it is no longer down to the judges.

I predict a nicky, same difference and rhydian final.

And rhydian should win - no-one can dispute that he has real talent. I listened to him on saturday night and then to hope, and compared to Rhydian's effortless performance, phoebe sounded like it was killing her.

Belated welcome to cornsilk to the thread- I have become a real obsessive of late (despite promising myself at the beginning i wouldn't)

I really don't like SD,i think in terms of the show they are a very dated act (more opportunity knocks than x-factor,iyswim)- but i agree they will appeal to HIgh school musical fans- the sister hasn't a great voice, though (but she NEVER loses) the grin

Apparently Hope are singing '2 Become 1' (Spice Girls) on Saturday as they want to 'cash in on the Spice's renewed popularity' don't know if Hope doing a Spice Girls song is a good move or not, but there will be one difference - Hope will at least be singing live. They've chosen 2 Become 1 as it is a song that gives each of them to take lead vocal - not just Phoebe.

I don't agree about the SD/Niki/Rhydian final only my opinion, but I think this week's bottom two will be Niki and Hope.

We'll see.

That song is awful so it should suit Hope perfectly. Glad to see they're all singing a bit - it'll show that only one of them can bloody well sing at all. Phoebe has a good voice but wouldn't have made it this far even if she had gone through IMO.

he is an averge singer, doesnt have any x factor, had extremely bandy legs that get shown in the skin tight trousers her wears!! and he cant move when singing or he looks like a old Grandad dancing!

Niki really annoys me going on about losing her Dad. How many others have too? And worse, some people have lost children. Just because they're on a tv show doesn't give them the monopoly on bereavement.

Niki's sob story annoys me also. LOL at Leon's bandy legs - he looked very funny in his tight white pants on disco night.

All the sob stories annoy me.It's seems to be what the x factor feeds on. I can't stand all this boo hooing. If it was me I would want people to vote for me because I had talent, not because they felt sorry for me. And as for all this- "I want a better life for my mum/dad/ son" etc. There are other ways of achieving this without being a "pop" star!

I did read that they get told they will to go on about their sob stories as it will get them votes, so no, not entirely their fault

Am watching the repeat of X factor. If Louis Walsh says 'You look like a diva/star/popstar, you SOUND like a diva/star/popstar' one more time I am going to SCREAM!!!!

LOL! Ditto -'You made the song your own' and 'You nailed it.' Perhaps we should send him some new phrases courtesy of mumsnet. Maybe 'I would rather eat my own eyeballs than sit through that shit again.'(To Hope, obviously)

Drives me mad! The other thing that really irritates me is when they all say 'Ok, now we have...' Every sentence doesn't need to begin with Ok.

Anyone think this years x-factor is the worst yet?
