Emmerdale with social distant acting, it's not great but better than nothing.....

It's been such a strange year for us all but never more so than for the people of the dales, what will Christmas and the New Year episodes bring...........some lighthearted relief I hope but probably not.

Just marking my place

PocketsOfPudge · 11/12/2020 20:16

I'm from portsmouth..we don't sound like that Hmm

JaneJeffer · 12/12/2020 12:57

Portsmouth?

I thought yesterday's was really well written and acted albeit very sad.

I loved earlier in the week when Dawn told Billy and Ellis about the STI and Billy said "I hope you've got it" to Ellis Grin

I know I'm always complaining about Laurel and how she annoys me but I've always said when she's given a decent story line she out acts everyone else in the show.

She was brilliant talking to Jai in the graveyard and so emotional that I started crying, found it very moving.

Through Rhona was brilliant too.

JaneJeffer · 12/12/2020 20:57

She's brilliant but it was Marlon who set me off.

Smallsteps88 · 12/12/2020 21:09

Last night was truly fantastic. Absolute brilliantly done. I was sobbing. Laurel, Jai (who really surprised me!) Rhona and Marlon were all bloody brilliant. Total professionals. They really need to take last nights episode and work from it because that was perfect.

RaraRachael · 13/12/2020 10:53

It was nice to watch actors who can actually act. I made me realise how much dead wood there is in the current cast...... and how much screen time is given over to characters who can't act and whose stories we couldn't care less about

Smallsteps88 · 14/12/2020 19:20

What shape is Nate sitting on that chair?? 😂

JaneJeffer · 14/12/2020 19:20

Best Christmas ever eh Wendy? Come on Luke - confess!

Smallsteps88 · 14/12/2020 19:25

Oh what have I missed? What does Luke have to confess?

JaneJeffer · 14/12/2020 19:26

To killing Lee as per my Christmas prediction Grin

Graciebobcat · 14/12/2020 19:28

So that went well. Laurel is such a useless parent!

Graciebobcat · 14/12/2020 19:31

Yes Laurel, it would have been so much better to lie and to make it so much more drama when everyone inevitably finds out they've been lied to. Muppet.

Smallsteps88 · 14/12/2020 19:31

@JaneJeffer

To killing Lee as per my Christmas prediction Grin
Grin ohh that would be fantastic. Bring back Robert!
Smallsteps88 · 15/12/2020 19:12

Oh dear God! What on earth was that run Leyla just did?? Shock she looked like she had her knees taped together!

JaneJeffer · 15/12/2020 19:23

Grin those shoes look like hell!

JaneJeffer · 15/12/2020 19:24

Arthur made me cry.

Smallsteps88 · 15/12/2020 19:24

Arthur’s so sweet.

JaneJeffer · 15/12/2020 19:26

Will could barely keep a straight face!

ellenanora5 · 16/12/2020 12:04

If I was Harriet Will and Dawn I would let them go ahead with opening the grave and then express surprise that Malone is in there, I mean who is going to know they killed him, he had loads of enemies.

Although I have an awful feeling when they do open it he won't be there Shock and it will drag on for ever.

Poor Arthur, he's always so worried about everything, why can't Laurel ever think of him and what he has been through, I'm back to getting annoyed with her and her useless parenting skills.

OP posts:
JaneJeffer · 16/12/2020 12:48

Unfortunately for Harriet he's wrapped up in her rug (ooh matron).

TellingBone · 16/12/2020 13:23

I suspect the writers are shaping up to make Arthur gay in a year or two.

[Not a spoiler - I've no idea!]

ellenanora5 · 16/12/2020 17:16

Oh I forgot about that JaneJeffer oh well if they all get sent to prison for it I won't mind Grin

Can you imagine Laurel trying to deal with that TellingBone she'll be useless.
