It irritated me when JJ said that the kilt was made for the Viennese Waltz. No, it sodding wasn't. When Scotsmen were leaping around the Highlands in kilts in the 16th century, the last thing on their minds was dancing a Viennese Waltz.

A friend who was my dance partner for a couple of years at university texted me during to say he hoped JJ had removed his sporran.

He was speaking from experience — we did a quickstep at university ball when he was in full Scottish dress, and ended up with matching bruises!

Perhaps if JJ stays he'll do a tango in a kilt to "500 miles".

I can’t see the full show as I’m in a forrin country- just the dances on the Strictly channel.

I quite like the music this week, the songs matched the dances well. Clara’s in trouble, though, that wasn’t a great jive. Bill was exhausted after his but still better than hers.

Maisie was incredible, BVB and Jaren’s had a great tango in a prewar nightclub atmosphere, although hard to see the footwork (not that that I’d really know whether it was any good).🤣 Ranvir and Gio were light and sweet too.

I liked all of them this week, just a shame about Clara’s mistakes- even I could spot them. ☹️

Finding Strictly a bit hard going at the moment, too much over marking, too many forced themes/songs, way too much CC. Motsi is as annoying as ever, preferred Anton. Voted for Bill - not his best but dangerous place on leaderboard; Ranvir - same as Bill; Maisie- loved her dance, much better than HRVY. Usually vote for Clara but think her time may be up. I don’t get the Jamie love and am bored of JJ (well his production narrative).

The AWFUL CGI graphics are ruining the dances for me, and they were the only bit worth watching, given the mad judges and ridiculous family videos.
I felt dizzy during the HRVY routine and ended up fast forwarding as the graphics were giving me vertigo.

The marking has lost any resemblance to logic and value. This show has really gone so far wrong and I am convinced they are getting decent viewing figures because of lockdown and we can’t go anywhere!

I’d be interested to know how much time and effort the powers at the beeb put into gathering information from the public - via sites like this for instance - re what’s going down well with viewers and what may need to be changed for future series...

I hope JJ goes. He’s the weakest dancer by far, totally predictable, and I’m fed up to the back teeth with the narrative.

I find JJ dancing boring to watch. Enjoyed BVB, Bill, NVLS.
Maisie was brilliant, nice to see that side of her rather than shaking her shimmy.
Did something go awry with Ranvir? During the comments whenever lifts were mentioned Gio seemed to be pulling a face

So if it's the quarter finals next week so that means we will have four in the final.

The fourth slot could be anyone between Jamie, Ranvir and JJ. Personally I hope it's Jamie because he has improved the most and the most entertaining.

I’m glad I’m not the only one not feeling Strictly this year. I’m finding it boring.

Some of the CGI has been odd and uneccessary, but I thought it was really beautiful for Hrvy's dance last night.

Voted for all the females. But I was torn between Jamie & Ranvir. In the end went for Ranvir. I’m hoping JJ goes. He bores me.

I’m also thinking Nvwls, Maisie and Bill for the final and would love love love Clara to be the fourth one, albeit by the skin of her teeth, which it would be after the rollercoaster ride she’s been on, the bad styling and last night’s shit show. (Stranger things have happened.)

i gave maisie a vote too, and bill and ranvir but it was a hard choice. craig was bigging jamie and his improvement but i couldnt really see the dance, i liked the chess board on the floor, shades of Queens Gambit, but thought there was too much faffing about with the chess pieces

I want Ranvi r to with because I adore Gio, it's time he won.

I mean she made the quickstep look very quick indeed and JJ looked as if he were jiving in tar!

No way did No vowels deserve 10s. He is getting such an easy ride. Well apart from the wardrobe department who seem to despise him and Aliaz.

OK I'm probably a bitch but wild horses wouldn't keep me from my 3 year old and 1 year old for 2 bloody months to be on the telly. And he's intending to be gone another month!

Agree that this is very hard on the other parent but if sporting fixtures are cancelled, maybe this is the only way he can earn money atm?

Agree with everyone that JJ's time is up though. I couldn't believe it when Motsi said he had an aura or charisma or something. He seems totally wooden to me. about your sporran story though op!

I am rooting for Clara and Bill! But I thought BVB and Karen were fabulous last night.

Doodlejump BVB = Jamie Laing. It stands for Baron Von Biscuit as his grandfather started McVities. Don't ask me who he is, or why he is on the telly though!

He's been on TV for years. He was one of the original Made In Chelsea crew. I used to watch it avidly. He was never the worst of that bunch, I always quite liked him, even when they were trying to build some bullshit "kissed some other girl" narrative.

It's believed that his father sold his share in McVities back in the 90s. They are loaded though. There's some banker called Frank who works in a private bank and he controls access to the family trust and used to say "No Jamie, you can't have more money actually".
