Sad to see eamon + Ruth leave this morning

Just read eamon and Ruth will no longer be hosting Fridays This Morning in favour of Alison and Dermot. While I like them I like the fact eamon and Ruth don't have to socially distance and they have that old married couple banter we can all relate to. It's a shame Holly and Phil couldn't do one less day so they can stay on and continue to mix it up a bit

Never a fan of theirs. Eamonn just looked bored a lot of the time.

@SentientAndCognisant that made me laugh. I see what you mean now I think about it. But I find Dermot a bit boring he was great on x factor and Alisons good but she can be a bit over powering and excitable although I think that's all part of her brand image.

I like Alison, but Dermot just bores me. Mind you I'd prefer anyone to Schofield, shame he can't bugger off too

I read that they aren't gone for good. They will cover over the summer hols.

I like Eamonn and Ruth and can't stand Alison. She makes everything about her instead of showcasing whatever the item is as a good presenter would.

Luckily I hardly watch it these days

I did a little jig when I read the news. Always disappointed when I turn This Morning on and realise its Eammon & Ruth and literally turn it straight off. Their short lived stint on Gogglebox showed how unnatural and forced they are.

I actually like Ruth and Eamon ( even though he can be a bit of an ass)
I would rather Phil and Holly were replaced.
Sarah Greene did a fab job presenting when she covered
Dermot and Alison are ok for the occasional cover but not weekly.

He must be that bad with Ruth she's still married to the man. Sadly didn't get to see them on gogglebox so can't comment on that. I'm not that keen on Christine lampard though she's done it a few times. Lovely woman don't get me wrong very friendly in appearance but she just doesn't draw me in I end up switching over. Do love a bit of piers morgan though and his ranting sorry.. Not sorry

I don't watch Friday BECAUSE it's them.... can't stand them.

She's irritating and he's self important and opinionated. They aren't funny, or amusing. Can't believe they've lasted this long

Did they want to go or were they pushed out?

I find Alison Hammond and Dermot both unbearable on the radio so I can't imagine how long I'd last trying to watch something as banal as This Morning presented by that duo. Maybe 5 minutes.

I think it needs a shake up, - Loose Women could do with one too.

I will miss them but I like Dermot and Alison. It’s Phil and holly I can’t stand, all the fake giggling like teenagers and in jokes.

I don't watch on Friday when they are on. Ruth is lovely so I feel for her. Alison is very funny and down to earth so I will tune in

Loose Women is horrible to watch. I don't care what any of them think about anything.

I don’t watch it I’m not a fan of Phil. Eamon or Ruth. I work from home so with Alison and dermot I might actually put it on in the back ground to see what it’s like, for the first time in at least a decade.

Holly I don’t mind but she’s become a bit plastic presenter. Playing a role and not very authentic any more

I think Alison and dermot will be quite authentic, I also think they may revive the program.

I suspect they will loose a lot of people who like eamon and Ruth, but gain a shit load more who don’t.
