Sad to see eamon + Ruth leave this morning

Just read eamon and Ruth will no longer be hosting Fridays This Morning in favour of Alison and Dermot. While I like them I like the fact eamon and Ruth don't have to socially distance and they have that old married couple banter we can all relate to. It's a shame Holly and Phil couldn't do one less day so they can stay on and continue to mix it up a bit

I loathe Eammon having seen footage of him off camera. I dont think these people are special enough to dominate these jobs for years. Move over. FGS.

I agree. I don't put it on on a Friday because of Eamonn and Ruth but might dip in out of curiosity now,

That said, I don't enjoy the faux fits of laughter that PM and HW seem to have every 5 minutes either so don't have it on the other days really.

Apparently they will still present during holidays (won't be watching then then as usual!)

Wow surprised so many people don't like Phil + Holly. There okay but I think 4 days is too much as they are very like children at times. Agree with @Ilikewinter I think anyone who presents next to Alison will come across as boring as shes very exuberant so small doses.

I’ve only really seen positive comments about R&E before and many negative ones about Phil & Holly, especially since Xmas. Odd how P&H are still staying on, awful.

Not keen on Phil and Holly either, ITV seem to cling on to the same presenters.

There is no obvious on screen chemistry between Dermot and Alison, and while I can see them handling the lightweight items, I cannot see them being able to cope with more serious issues.
People may not like Eamon for various reasons, but he is a very experienced and seasoned broadcaster, but agree, he does seem bored and detached most of the time.
I also found Marvin and Rochelle too light weight when they stood in for the others during holidays etc
It's a fine line to find a seasoned, capable presenter who can turn from daft stuff to interviewing, for example, cabinet ministers.

I loved Richard & Judy and then Fern & John Leslie. I've never been able to stand Schofield. I stopped watching when Fern left

I really like Ruth and Eamon so wish they were staying and it was Phil going instead! I like Holly too but can't stand Phil - I'd like Holly to present with Ore as he was great.

I find Alison really annoying - really can't stand her for a tying longer than small doses. The lady who reads the news and is a new anchor on loose women is great - I think she'd be good and also loving Ranvir Singh. Would love to see one of those over Alison and anyone rather than Phil!

Yes why didn't they do this! I like Ruth and Eamonn, they don't take themselves too seriously. How sad that itv are so keen to show they are diverse yet don't care about being ageist.

I'm not an Alison Hammond fan. It’s like people are laughing at her not with her, all her cringe celebrity interviews where she just screams with laughter at her own jokes. I don’t mind Dermot, it's just sad he is replacing Eamonn and not Schofield.

I don't watch This Morning very often but, if I do, it is only ever when Ruth and Eamonn present it.

I can't stand Alison. She is so full of herself and over the top.

I wish they'd get rid of Phil and Holly. I might start watching it again then.

I despise Eamon Holmes. He's a horrible vile, rude man who deserves no screen time - unless it's the episodes of that the kids show Biggleton that he narrated! I'm so glad he's been given the boot off Fridays in favour of the much better Alison and Dermot. I do actually quite like Ruth and I feel for her she's been lumbered with such an awful man as a husband - I mean there's obviously something she likes but I've never seen it. I always groan if I ever put This Morning and it's their slot, I turn it off straight away.

I only watch on a Friday, if I'm off work , because they're on , I can't stand Phil and Holly so probably won't watch it again now.

Sacking presenters approaching retirement age cannot be dressed up as diversity just because they replace one of the with someone who isn’t white. Especially as she is already on most days.

Ok calm Ruth! I didn’t mean that ITV were justified in sacking them. Just I can see why Alison is the obvious choice.

I’m glad they have gone. I find them very bigoted, arrogant and racist. They are behind the times and I can’t relate to them. They appear to annoy each other a little too which I have no need to watch. I’m glad they have gone. Mind you I am not really keen on phill and holly

Yep I agree. Can't stick Eamonn. He's always saying daft stuff and trying to humiliate Ruth.
