I agree about Bill's hair. I think he should do what Jay did. He looked so much better when he loped his hair off, especially for the ballroom stuff

Bill's hair is a bit annoying but i bet he wouldn't get it cut as his always had hair like that! Can they have hairdressers and make up people on this year or doing their own?

There have been plenty of people on Strictly that I don't know - all the Coronation Street actors for a start plus the Breakfast TV presenters. I wouldn't have been able to pick them out of a line up before they appeared on Strictly. I wouldn't call any of them "non celebrities" as such though. I suppose "celebrity" is the wrong word though - it's more "people in the public eye".

Tbh I couldn't be bothered to check but those two rang a bell as names that others knew, even if I didn't. This series I knew Jason and Clara, whereas lots of others didn't, but am clueless about soaps, apart from really big names/people who've been in them forever. It doesn't matter really, though occasionally they do have people that I imagine hardly any Strictly viewers are aware of.
I find though that I can still end up really liking, and wanting to do well, people that I didn't know existed before Strictly.

Bill's hair is part of his comedy trademark - but he has had it tied back on occasion and it looked much better.

I saw a comment here describing Bill as a non dancer. He has had dance lessons. I don't know if he had fewer lessons than Caroline, who was quite open about her ballet experience. I think it's interesting that his were ballroom lessons and he hasn't mentioned them at all though Rylan made a fleeting reference on ITT.

Zoe is pregnant?! She's 50, so that's good going.

Yes she mentioned it on ITT yesterday, and is suddenly wearing a roomier dress. Still those defying stilettos though , these kids have no idea of the damage those heels can do to your back when pregnant. (sensible shoe wearing old gimmer here )

I think they only wear them for the moments on telly (she says hopefully).

Zoe did say that a while ago. She has a wardrobe full of them unworn.

Your feet are too precious to abuse - and so's your back. Excessive wearing of high shoes buggers your back.

Strange but she wasn't wearing a cushion! The hot flushes could be a symptom of early pregnancy.

Dance lessons as a teenager for Bill could never compare to Caroline's dance training, I read an interview with her years ago where she talked about her years learning dance, and how her ambitions to be a professional dancer never happened.

I had dance lessons umpteen years ago - couldn't remember how to waltz hardly, now, Plus my legs get tired and feel as heavy as lead.

I think those early lessons have probably aided Bill a bit, but I think his big advantages come from:

a) being musical - his tempo etc is spot on

b) not giving a damn! He isn't the least self-conscious and just goes for it. That's what years in stand-up do for you (And speaking from personal experience, so do years in the pulpit )

I think that’s true about Bill, especially about doing years as a stand up. He doesn’t look nervous, he just looks like he’s having a ball! Great to watch that.

Yes, no way is Zoe pregnant, the tabloids would be on it in a flash "Zoe Ball pregnant at 50!" They would love it! She meant she'd put a bit of weight on.
