I liked it when they all did the same Latin or the same ballroom.
I'd have Darcy back in a heartbeat. I liked Arlene in some ways but she was a bit humourless.

Nadiya's on ITT - makes me even sadder she wasn't partnered with Jason!

My ideal panel would be Craig, Arlene, Darcey and either Len or one of the old school dancers like Ian Waite. Who would everyone else want?

We would get such intelligent critique on each dance, and performance points as well. Craig is a fantastic producer and his stagecraft knowledge is just wasted in this dumbed down version of Strictly.

Yes Erin or Natalie! I'd even take Anton lol.
Ian's good too although I like him less on ITT.

Omg Johannes is so lovely. I can't bear to watch his partnership with Caroline in case she's nasty to him!

Ah I didn’t really like arlene. All those pre-scripted comments she made about people and then delivered them in a slightly under practiced and forced way. I do actually like Shirley, I love it when they critique the routine and give advice on steps / frame etc.

I really dislike motsi and bruno for giving nothing constructive. Could remove them entirely cos I have no interest in hearing “you came out on to THAT STAGE like a FIRECRACKER!! You gave it YOUR ALL!!” Etc etc.

I'd like Craig, Darcey, Ian Waite and Karen Hardy.

I'd like Erin back on the show. As a dancer, though. Not because I was a particular fan of hers, just because I'd love to see her face when they tell her she'll be dressing up as a gnome, or a troll, or Marge Simpson, or whatever

Craig, and then any of Ian Waite, Natalie, Karen Hardy, Or Aliona (inspired suggestion!).

Shirley can stay if you're desperate, I do like the way she brings proper ballroom dancing technique critique. I like less the fawning over some males and certain catty moments.

ShirleyPhallus I agree, I wasn't keen on Arlene either. I remember her being quite inappropriate over the young attractive male celebs, and quite nasty towards some of the females, more so than Shirley. I like Shirley and think she gives good dance critique.

Wasn't a Darcy fan at all, she had no ballroom knowledge so wasn't able to critique the dances properly, but came across as if she thought she should have been head judge.

One of the old pros like Lilia, Karen Hardy or Flavia would be a great judge (I think Lilia and Darren are on the panel in another country's version).

Every now and then someone on Twitter will beg Arlene to come back oh, all right it was me and she "likes" the post and says she'd love to, but she's never been asked.

I like Shirley, i would have Shirley, Craig, and Anton we love Anton in our house. If 4 judges needed then len.
Agree with song choices, in appropriate music and costumes. It’s sad to see how far removed it’s becoming from the original programme.

Oh Jesus no, not Anton. Mugging at the camera, painfully unfunny 'jokes', he'd be another one making it all about him - or he'd fawn over everyone like they were the best thing in sequins. No, thanks.

I don’t miss Darcy at all. although I don’t think she’d be fussy about flashing her gusset

Hello. New to this thread in particular and MN in general, but I feel like I need a safe space to vent about how much I love Clara, and how furious I am at the way she is being underscored. She has more spark and intensity than all of them put together, and proper connection with Aljaz without having to roll around on the floor flashing gussets.

In re judges, yes, someone old school like Karen Hardy or Erin who might rein in the producers. I could barely watch Movie Week.

That would be my dream panel too

My judging panel would be Natalie, for good critique and sweetness, Shirl because I don't mind her too much, Craig, because he is the most realistic, and Brendan, so he can sit beside Shirl and piss her the hell off.

(He was also a decent judge on the NZ version.)

I'm another Clara fan. She's so enthusiastic without being stupid ( Biscuit boy) or shouty ( MAISEEE) or The HeadTeacher( CQ) .
And she has innate talent too. Go Clara.
