I had to rewind it to that bit as well as it wasn’t that clear - it was like it was part of the recap from the previous ep (which it wasn’t).

BoreOfWhabylon · 02/11/2020 10:50

The nuns are deffo up to their wimpled necks in the baby brokering business.

GroundAlmonds · 02/11/2020 16:30

I binged all four available episodes over the last two nights.

Agree the forensics guy is suss, and if he turns out to be a red herring, then it will be someone else in the labs tampering with the DNA profiles.

Is it being shown twice a week?

BoreOfWhabylon · 02/11/2020 17:54

Just the two episodes every Saturday Almonds, although I think they are repeated.

Think I might rewatch to see what I missed first time round.

GroundAlmonds · 02/11/2020 18:05

Thanks @BoreOfWhabylon.

I’ve ruined myself with streaming services and binge watching. This weekly broadcast business feels unbearably slow. At least it’s two episodes a week, though. Grin

BoreOfWhabylon · 02/11/2020 18:11

I know! But at least no one can divulge spoilers

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/11/2020 19:01

@BoreOfWhabylon I love the fact it’s weekly and no spoilers

So yes the nuns are sooooooo dodgy

Pretending babies are dead and prob selling them on for a lot of money !!

Makes you wonder if the minna baby was adopted and the. Stolen back

Or that’s nothing to do with it

Why would they steal a baby and kill a teenager

So all babies are adopted there

The nurse /doctor who gave her the card to go there Prob has inside dealings

Ans still puzzled whet her aunt /nan and bf mum aren’t helping her

OP posts:
FlyingFlamingo · 02/11/2020 19:19

And me Blondes - why didn’t she just leave with the nan? And why aren’t the baby’s other grandparents helping?

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/11/2020 21:15

Excatly. The one link to her dead son. Her grandchild

Says in TV guide tonight

That contains some scenes that viewers may find upsetting

Makes sense considering it’s been building to a baby & child trafficking reveal.
mizu · 08/11/2020 11:18

Who thinks he'll find his own daughter?

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/11/2020 12:10

He will def find her

I think Julita has his baby. It was her car on the boat. She was chasing leads on her baby and on return ferry , saw a baby and snatched it. She's then disappeared and living elsewhere, passing off Andrea as her own.

stumbledin · 08/11/2020 18:14

Well I thought it was very upsetting.

And so strange to be watching this fiction at a time that abortion rights is such an issue in Poland.

Terrible that women who want their babies have them stolen from them.

And terrible that women who dont want to continue their pregnancy are forced to go full term, and then have the baby taken away.

And all those people making money out of it, the the nuns being so cruel - in the name of religion?

stumbledin · 08/11/2020 18:17

Julita cant have the detective's baby girl. The time sequence is wrong.

The baby went missing 5 years before her baby was born.

Also we know that the baby traffickers have her because they tried to get the french couple running the clinic in Paris to take her - but they said they didn't want her as she wasn't right(??!!??) because she wasn't a new born and had a birthmark ...

Its all just gross.

FlyingFlamingo · 08/11/2020 18:23

Stumbledin the timeline is right - Julita had her baby 5 years ago, that was explained when she was hiding in the office at the convent. I hadn’t thought of that scenario as a possibility though, it’s an intestine hypothesis!

The baby with a birthmark is the one stolen from the playground, not the police officers baby

FlyingFlamingo · 08/11/2020 18:23

INTERESTING!!! No idea where intestine came from Grin

Ewanthescreamsheep · 08/11/2020 18:29

If you watch back last few mins of episode one, I'd put money that it's her and her car.
Yep, the timeline fits.

Ewanthescreamsheep · 08/11/2020 18:32

Could definitely be Julita.

The timeline was really confusing me but I think you are right that all the babies were born 5 years ago!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/11/2020 21:06

The red haired girl in the reception of the fertility clinic

I think it’s his daughter

Mum /ex wife has red hair

Does he think the same ?

Bad bad nuns - are they pocketing the £40k the French gay couple paid for baby Leo

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 08/11/2020 21:13

And how did he get the swab from her?

No 5yr wouid let a stranger do that !!!

Agree timeline confusing

Tho his daughter and girl from nursery 5yrs ago

Plus. Didn’t forensic man wife have red hair. She said the buggy didn’t get used /came with wrapped matress that wife /daughter took out

Maybe red hair girl in clinic was her baby and she sold it happily as all her kids are older

Haven’t a clue. But enjoying and can’t wait for last 2 next week

OP posts:
Cannothtinkofaname · 09/11/2020 11:26

I'm enjoying this show too, next weeks are the last two I think.

My theory is that the little red haired girl is his daughter but his ex-wife wanted to try and tell him something. I think she was going to say the girl was not his daughter, she'd slept with somebody else.

Also agree the DNA man and his wife seem dodgy!
