I think some of the songs are fine. But not for strickly.

I have an aversion to 9–5. I remember being absolutely horrified by the mini pops version and the song has never been the same since.

And I’m hoping that Get Happy will be all fleet footed but I can see it being a tiny bit clunky. A quickstep week 1 is naaaaaaasty.

Sorry bit late.. but Flavia was my SCD girl crush I met her in real life she was an amazing dancer !! Fav male was Gleb I loved him and Anita's tango still one on my all time fav dances but unfortunately the Americans snapped him up for Dancing with the stars .. weeps ..

Why, in the first week, for somebody who might not be that musical, would you choose a song for waltz that's in 4/4 and will have to be chopped about?

(Although I fully admit I'm hypocritical. One of my favourite waltz songs is a 3/4 version of The Closest Thing to Crazy, to the point the original sounds funny to me now!)

Caroline Quentin is dancing with Johannes. She was in Men Behaving Badly, Jonathon Creek and a few travel and house programmes.

They both wore the same sparkly suits and had hair slicked back at the opening, I’d be quite surprised if some weeks they have one being overtly masculine and feminine roles

I think I read an interview with Nicola in which she said she didn't want to wear dresses, which makes it sound as if she hopes to lead all the time. That would probably be easier for Katya, who would be dancing her normal part, and I think she might struggle to lift N.

But I have some reservations about having the gay dancer take the role normally taken by the other sex.

I think he has to really. Jacqui did not look like a natural dancer.

I hope he doesn't do what he did to susannah. One of my faves of his was the let's go fly a kite he did with Judy Murray. Still funny, but a proper dance

If I were Jacqui I'd be saying "look. I want to do proper dancing. None of this pratting around. I'm fine for a bit of a laugh but just funny moments not taking the piss out of me." In fact that's polite as to what I'd probably say although I do love anton. I'd want to be with him for a Viennese waltz.

Och I know Ellmau but it would just be nice to give it a bit of normal welly instead of the comedy eye rolling, routine and the like.
