Feeling a bit lost with what to do with myself today with no tennis - it started off a bit strangely but ended well!

I see Tsitsipas and Zverev have qualified for the WTFs. It looks like a good list of players so far and pretty much who you'd expect to be there in a standard year I reckon. I think Schwartzman and Rublev are closest for the next two spots.

Still feels like a post-Grand Slam day around here :( (haven't done any housework though!).

I’m feeling the post Grand Slam Blues today I’ve been so bored that I’ve even done some housework (mainly as a distraction from Boris - PM Boris - on the telly) I’m still not really sure what tier our area is in

I guess I’ll just look forward to the WTFs next (they really need to rethink that name!) although Rafa hasn’t confirmed if he’ll be playing in London

Sounds like a good match between Stan and top player Dan Evans in St Petersburg - Dan had match point(s) but Stan won in 3. Shame it wasn't being shown anywhere

I stumbled across the match completely by accident private I didn't even know they were playing but watched most of the final set on my phone - ATP Tennis TV via YouTube. There was some good tennis, especially when Dan fought back to 5-5 from 2-5 down. He won something like 14 out of 15 points. I read afterwards that he had 3 match points in the second set! Shame he couldn't convert one! Dan really isn't getting any luck with his first round draws at the moment.

Good win for Norrie though.

We are still in the hospital. Dd2 has good moments and bad ones. We are desperate to go home so we can SLEEP.

I was score watching the Stan/Dan match.

Tennis tv are showing one match free a day on YouTube from St Petersburg.....Todays' is on at 11am I think.

Bad night, and dd2 is in a lot of distress. I was ok as the community nurse was due this morning. I have a LOT of questions.
She has cancelled. Dd2 is getting scared and upset and I feel overwhelmed.
I'm a bit angry really- we should probably still have been in the hospital til we were more confident of what we are doing. But lack of sleep meant we were desperate to come home.

We will get there. Slowly.

Hope you had a better night Raahh and that your DD gets some proper medical support. It's a really difficult thing for a little girl to go through

Hope everyone else is OK - I’m trying not to slip into gloominess but it’s hard. Missing the tennis and the chat - I really enjoyed the French Open after the first day of weirdness!

DH is working from home today and he’s put the heating on! Is this another case of LTB? It is cold but I usually wear lots of layers!

Thank you both- I am stiff as a board, after my might sleeping on her floor /curled up on her bead (her bedroom is literally the size of her bed), but she was really quite distressed so, didn't want to be on her own.

The nurses came today and were really lovely, even though DD got very upset. She will be ok. It's early days.

Fizzy I feel your pain, re the heating. I NEVER have the heating on. Dh keeps putting the aircon/heating on- which is a horrible oppressive heat. He falls asleep down stairs at night and leaves it on. Downstaris ends up like a sauna. I hate it. The thought of months more of him wfh putting the heating on, is not doing my blood pressure any good at all .

It's been a very stressful week and we have the threat of another lockdown hanging over us here. I feel bad for moaning when other people are going through serious stuff but it's just one thing after another at the moment. I'm hoping next week will be better.
