He doesn't look as relaxed tonight as the previous matches but I don't see any extra meat on him.

Fabrice really got the giggles about 'party pooper'.

JaneJeffer · 07/10/2020 00:06

Hopefully Rafa can wrap this up quickly.

JaneJeffer · 07/10/2020 00:24

Jim is being very philosophical tonight.

JaneJeffer · 07/10/2020 00:26

VAMOS!! What a relief.

JaneJeffer · 07/10/2020 00:34

Ooh fraud investigation in a women's doubles match John says! He also said to stock up on toilet roll and flour for tomorrow Grin

Bonne nuit!

BeaLola · 07/10/2020 00:42

Go Rafa
I'm stocked up ready for later - mat need to buy some concealer

Bonne nuit and fingers xd for Novak being beaten - please Grin

I didn't last longGrin nearly the first set but I fell asleep. Was relieved to wake up to see the score. I might watch some I recorded.

The conditions and latenesd probsbly contributed to the length of the match. It wasn't that much longer than Djok's match with Karen though.

I have EVERYTHING crossed that playing PCB again gets under Djok's skin, and he has US Open flash backs.

It should be a drinking game though, that match. Down a shot each time the default or 'he didn't mean to' is mentioned.

Drunk as skunks before the end of the first game, I reckon. Grin

Raahh · 07/10/2020 08:06

Grrr.

Tv only recorded 20 minutes of the Rafa match, after I fell asleep Grin.

Very annoying.

Raahh · 07/10/2020 08:10

I've found that the highlights are on Eurosport.

But it is Frew (who never has a good thing to say about Rafa) so I am not sure it is worth putting myself through it Grin

JaneJeffer · 07/10/2020 08:34

Ugh Frew.

Raahh · 07/10/2020 08:39

In the first 5 minutes of watching, Jane there was a story about Federer. Always a mention of Roger, with Frew.

It's why I suffer Jim on ITV4. Grin.

JaneJeffer · 07/10/2020 08:39

Grin he's not even there.

Raahh · 07/10/2020 08:43

From what I am seeing in the highlights, Sinner did well- but Rafa did what he does, he wears them down, and you can see he gets the measure of Sinner's game. First time they have met?

They were discussing yesterday how Rafa (creature of habit that he is) is one of the only players to have not changed his racquet tension to deal with the consitions at RG. He is just hitting the ball harder- and according to the ATP site, extending the rallies. It's almost impossible to beat Rafa once the rallies get beyond a certain length.

Raahh · 07/10/2020 08:44

Jane it doesn't matter. Grin He's a personal family friend of Roger, or something, Frew. Grin. Maybe he gets paid per mention?

JaneJeffer · 07/10/2020 08:48

Yes Rafa just kept bombing the ball across and waiting for Sinner to try to do something and make a mistake. It worked most of the time.

Raahh · 07/10/2020 08:52

Sinner didn't disgrace himself, anyway.

It's Rafa. At RG.

His 100th match- and he's won 98.

Fizzywinegum · 07/10/2020 09:00

I had to go to bed in the second set - Rafa still looked to be struggling a bit then so I was relieved to see the result this morning.

Raahh I think some sort of world super bike stuff was supposed to be on ITV 4 but they carried on with the tennis - no doubt there will have been some disgruntled super bike fans last night Grin

I heard them say that about Rafa's racquets - he does seem to be hitting the ball very hard!

Age my DM (76 year old Rafa fangirl!) thought that Rafa was looking more bulky than usual. Can’t imagine that he spent lockdown eating and drinking too much but who knows?

Not sure how much tennis I’ll see today but fingers crossed for a Djok upset

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 07/10/2020 10:18

I had no idea they'd carry on with playing so late!

Raahh · 07/10/2020 11:03

Donkeys it was a crazy situation.

I really like Petra, I want her to win this, but I have liked what I've seen of Siegemund (and her socks). Grin

Your DD will be delighted Raahh Grin

Raahh · 07/10/2020 11:22

Jane Thank you. They are quite cute. I have just showed her - she was far more interested in them, than in the South American homework she is meant to be doing! (Not surprising really).

Grin
JaneJeffer · 07/10/2020 11:29

I like their tail feathers but how do they know what their tails looked like? Grin

Raahh · 07/10/2020 11:36

Jane I am always fascinated in how they know - from a bunch of bones- the exact size and shape of dinosaurs. It's very clever. I'm not cleverGrin.

In year 2, DD2 drew a blue dinosaur, and her teacher put a comment that dinosuars probably weren't blue. Dd (about 6 at the time)basically replied 'how do you know?!' Grin.

JaneJeffer · 07/10/2020 11:51

Grin good on her

Raahh · 07/10/2020 12:07

The shot clock thing is so stupid.
