It's nearly 4 and a half hours now.

Raahh · 06/10/2020 18:55

And it could still go to a 5th set.

It's getting Isner-like. Grin

JaneJeffer · 06/10/2020 18:57

It could still be going on for hours.

I'll need a nap before Rafa comes on.

Raahh · 06/10/2020 18:58

I will take this moment to remind you all- there is no tie break in the 5th at RG. Grin

Should we get that far.

Tonightstheteriyakichicken · 06/10/2020 19:00

No nails left.

JaneJeffer · 06/10/2020 19:04

Who do you want to win Tonight?

Fizzywinegum · 06/10/2020 19:05

I think I need wine but it might make me sleepy!

Oh yes no tiebreak in the fifth - it really could go on for hours Shock

JaneJeffer · 06/10/2020 19:05

Wow

Raahh · 06/10/2020 19:07

Flipping heck.

At what point do they realise Rafa playing today just can't happen, roof or no roof.

It's not the same as Melbourne, or the US where players know their match is a night match, in advance, and that there is the possibility of playing til late.

Raahh · 06/10/2020 19:08

Fizzy the vodka is calling me.

But I will fall asleep if I have a drink now.

I am unlikely to be awake if Rafa plays anyway Grin

JaneJeffer · 06/10/2020 19:09

There's no way both matches can go ahead.

Fizzywinegum · 06/10/2020 19:11

I’ve just broken the news to DH that there’s no tiebreak in the fifth set - he’s not happy Grin

I also can’t see how Rafa can play tonight

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 06/10/2020 19:13

Thiem. Got to admire Diego's grit though.

Raahh · 06/10/2020 19:13

Jane it's barmy.

Fizzy when I remembered, I thought 'they will still be playing at midnight' Grin

Raahh · 06/10/2020 19:18

At Wimbledon, there is a curfew of 11pm that they can't go over (even with the roof)- I wonder what 'rules' they have in Paris?

JaneJeffer · 06/10/2020 19:21

Paris doesn't do rules Grin

Donkeys it's going to be crushing for whoever loses. I'm team Thiem too.

Fizzywinegum · 06/10/2020 19:30

I’m not really sure who I want to win - I’m usually Team Thiem but admire Diego’s grit. Will be sorry to see anyone lose this match Sad

Jane’s right - there are no rules in Paris so no curfew Grin

Raahh · 06/10/2020 19:34

No, I had a feeling it might just go on. And on.

But honestly, I still don't see how Rafa can play tonight.

BeaLola · 06/10/2020 19:34

Longtime lurker who loved all of you from afar. - I think Dons experience will take him through but I'm team Diego as in my heart he is mini Delpo and also in case none of you listen to he commentators Domi won something recently

Disappears to hide

JaneJeffer · 06/10/2020 19:34

I won't mind if Diego wins because whoever wins is hopefully playing Rafa next so I'll want them to lose then anyway.

JaneJeffer · 06/10/2020 19:35

Hi Bea thanks for the love Grin no need to hide.

Raahh · 06/10/2020 19:38

Bea Grin don't hide!

And yes, I heard somewhere that Dom might have recently won something Wink.

As a fellow angry pixie shorty, I'm going for Diego today.

Raahh · 06/10/2020 19:39

eek.

Raahh · 06/10/2020 19:40

Vamos Diego!

But poor Dom.

Raahh · 06/10/2020 19:40

They are such good friends- I love the sportsmanship.
