Wow. Fridays night and the death And murder of Chantelle 😢😢

That was moving and horrendous to watch while gray plans his alibi of her death With

In some ways she will silly to taunt him. And she should have left a message on Khareet phone instead of ringing it lots when went to ansa machine

She should have said she was leaving gray. She loved Khareet and last message was a ploy As gray found out

Then gray will be done for murder

All the other plot lines form previous thread have been sorted

Nice to have ee back after the break

@AlohaMolly

I thought the will setup was funny too. Why is Kathy giving her stuff to half of Ian’s offspring?
Also, it's very unlikely that a will would specify the financial worth of the the testator, because what I'm worth today could vary considerably by the time I die. The amount being left to the beneficiaries would be given as percentages of the total worth, not specific amounts. (Admittedly, amounts might be mentioned for residuary beneficiaries, eg "£1,000 to my dear friend X, remainder of my entire estate to be divided equally between my children Y and Z".) So Ian being surprised at Kathy's worth was very odd.
nancy75 · 02/10/2020 17:57

Wilmot Brown’s daughter gave Kathy the cafe I think? They had conned Ian out of it somehow but she gave it to Kathy because she knew her dad had raped her.

Mrsjayy · 02/10/2020 17:58

Did she ? ive blanked the wilmott browns out good for fee ( I think) Grin

nancy75 · 02/10/2020 18:02

I think so, it was either the daughter or Wilmot Brown himself, it was such a rubbish story I’ve forgotten the details!

nancy75 · 02/10/2020 20:40

Is Phil on Raymond’s original birth certificate? Surely he has even less rights in this situation than Denise?

Mrsjayy · 02/10/2020 20:47

15:09AlohaMolly

Don’t forget he also used Rainie when she was a prostitute. He’s thoroughly unpleasant.

And Jannine Butcher he is a slug of a man.

AlohaMolly · 02/10/2020 20:50

I do dislike how EE rewrite characters/ignore their bad parts. Stuart is a prime example!

nancy75 · 02/10/2020 20:56

That wasn’t obvious, now was it...

Mrsjayy · 02/10/2020 21:03

Stuart wasn't meant to be there that long but fans liked him so I think they
had to turn him into a loveable nutter!

Namechanger72 · 02/10/2020 23:19

Yep Ian is awful. I accept your arguments,I had clearly blocked it all out.

I also think I've missed how/why Linda and Max are suddenly besties

NigellasGuest · 03/10/2020 08:38

Does anyone remember how Linda's alcoholism was triggered by the Martin/Keanu pretend murder situation? Or am I "misremembering"? If so, will Shen we speak about that? Perhaps to Max?

I don't think there's any Linda/Max (Lax 🤣) history- I think he just sees something in her that he understands. He has seemed a bit different lately or am I imagining it. Probably just lockdown

VictoriaBun · 03/10/2020 08:39

@Namechanger72
Yes I think that , it's crazy that they are suddenly baring their souls to each other.

SoupDragon · 03/10/2020 09:40

They became close over lockdown apparently (In the little "catch up" biography things on social media) although this has never been explained as far as I know.

Mrsjayy · 03/10/2020 09:43

Think they were chatting in the zoom quizes or something.

SoupDragon · 03/10/2020 09:44

Does anyone remember how Linda's alcoholism was triggered by the Martin/Keanu pretend murder situation? Or am I "misremembering"?

I think she was drinking heavily before then. I think she had ended up in A&E before then and was drunk in a skimpy Santa dress for the fake murder. It might have started when she met up with the school mums in the club after Ollie started school but I think she said she always had a bad relationship with alcohol having lived in pubs all her life.

BrutusMcDogface · 03/10/2020 09:49

WTF is Ian still doing in eastenders? He’s been there since episode 1, and I bloody HATE him.

Mrsjayy · 03/10/2020 09:53

I think Linda was struggling with Ollie and the bitchy school mums and her drinking spiralled, it was before the Keanu hoha.

excelledyourself · 03/10/2020 09:56

Eastenders seem to try to make Ian out to be a bit of a naughty, cheeky, comedy character at times, and to be pitied at others. Then you read back what he's done and realise he's actually a really awful, twisted individual!

NigellasGuest · 03/10/2020 10:02

Ah so L's drinking problem was pre fake murder then. I do wonder whether she will ever speak about that though.

SpanishFly · 03/10/2020 10:23

Yes L was involved in the fake murder because of being blind drunk.

lazymum99 · 03/10/2020 11:11

Max and Linda also got friendly when they did that wife swap thing.
Another complete change of character in Max who suddenly has huge insight into everyone’s difficulties.

SpanishFly · 03/10/2020 13:31

Ah yes! I quite liked that wife swap storyline, altho it was also totally unrealistic 😅

Alongcameacat · 03/10/2020 14:10

Another complete change of character in Max who suddenly has huge insight into everyone’s difficulties.

Max came out of prison a hard man and then Stacey discovered he was self harming, he changed into somebody who favours the underdog type person?

In fairness having four children, two dead, one on the opposite side of the world and another you never see, has to change a person.
Ian likewise really but in Ian’s case, it made him crueler than ever.

SpanishFly · 03/10/2020 14:57

Re Max, I'm surprised they've never really delved into the self harm storyline properly.
Give it time, though....

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/10/2020 16:07

@Mrsjayy

Stuart wasn't meant to be there that long but fans liked him so I think they had to turn him into a loveable nutter!
Yes he was horrible and killed someone
