I'd love to see the A Boy Called Alex documentaries again but they don't seem to be online. Also Faking It, if anyone remembers that from about twenty years ago.

What programmes do you wish were available again?

Boomtown, it was a police series that showed the same story from different perspectives. Donnie Wahlberg was it. I loved it.

North Square
Party Animals
In a Land of Plenty

Great question! West Wing, the Killing...

Trailing1 · 18/09/2020 19:54

A cheesy mafia series called "La Bella Mafia". It was delightfully over the top.

TheSeedsOfADream · 18/09/2020 19:56

For the first time all over again?

Life on Mars
Spooks (am rewatching and it's funny, they're using Usb sticks and I remember being "oooh what's that?" And they all have grey Nokias)
Money Heist
Downton Abbey (and I don't do bonnets usually)
Cutting It
One from the 90s, Neil Pearson as cop investigating bent cops, a 90s version of Line of Duty.

Also
Blue Planet. Watched with DD when she was about 3. She was fecking obsessed with sharks, hammerhead ones. Grin

TheSeedsOfADream · 18/09/2020 19:57

Trailing- isn't that a Linda la Plante? I think I've got it on Kindle.

Holothane · 18/09/2020 19:59

There was a fantastic three part series called Blind. It was about Moorfields and various eye conditions I loved it and would pay to have this on dvd.

Holothane · 18/09/2020 20:00

Oh yes Just Julia the first trans male to female for all the surgical and medical bits.

RedStreetMonument · 18/09/2020 20:01

Also 'Can't take it with you' with Gerry Robinson talking about wills in families - was fascinating and thought provoking! Wish they'd made more.

Trailing1 · 18/09/2020 20:12

Hey TheSeeds, yes I do believe it was her work. Great for a bit of escapism.

mum2jakie · 18/09/2020 20:14

Our Friends in the North. Loved that series!

Servalan · 18/09/2020 20:14

Tutti Frutti. Can't track it down anywhere.

Fatal Experiments: The Downfall of a Super surgeon was brilliant but I've never seen it on again

Graphista · 18/09/2020 21:12

I suspect like many I no longer own a DVD player so to watch these things need to be available to stream.

The ones I really really wish I could find available to stream

Quantum leap
Maelstrom (fab mini series psychological drama)

American talk shows especially from the 90’s, I’d love to be able to watch old Oprah’s, Geraldo, sally Jessie Raphael etc and maybe some modern ones too.

I’d also love to be able to watch trashy American daytime soaps. Used to watch a couple on ch5 years ago but now they’re never shown in Uk and again can’t access to stream.

And a film I’ve been wanting to see for years and never been able to

The conversation

Notplannedforthis · 19/09/2020 00:02

I'd love to see some 'where are they now' shows about people from old documentaries such as:

Born to Be Different - loved this, all the children and families were lovely.
The millennium kids.
The kids from Spoilt Rotten documentary.

etc.

heathergem · 19/09/2020 00:10

I remember faking it. Loved it. I recall a conductor of an orchestra & captain of a racing yacht. They were brilliant.

heathergem · 19/09/2020 00:13

Drop the dead donkey, I miss that.

barcodescanner · 19/09/2020 00:28

2000 Acres of Sky

Spudina · 19/09/2020 00:42

I love Bella Mafia!
Yellowthread Street
Northern Exposure
There was a programme in the early 90s called Revelations that I loved about a clergymans family
Alf
Dinosaurs

Barefootinthecarpark · 19/09/2020 00:56

Glasgow Kiss. Romantic drama with Iain Glenn and Sharon Small.

RomanMum · 19/09/2020 06:48

Maelstrom, Mother Love, Crashing

DarrellRiversTuckBox · 19/09/2020 06:59

I loved the first couple of series of 'The Hotel' on channel 4, but I think they only have series 3 on the app now and by that stage it had turned into a performance/parody.

Also loved 'Model Behaviour' from about 20 years ago!

ulanbatorismynextstop · 19/09/2020 07:01

Littlest hobo, I loved that as a kid.

SoLongAsTheresCheese · 19/09/2020 07:49
