I'd love to see the A Boy Called Alex documentaries again but they don't seem to be online. Also Faking It, if anyone remembers that from about twenty years ago.

What programmes do you wish were available again?

@mum2jakie

Our Friends in the North. Loved that series!
It is available on BritBox.

For me it was one of those where I regretted watching again. It seemed so dated and the picture quality was awful.

@Notplannedforthis

There has been a recent update for both the millennium children and born to be different.

barcodescanner · 19/09/2020 08:19

@CalmConfident oh god yes! I can't understand why it has never been repeated

Defiantly41 · 19/09/2020 08:30

@TheSeedsOfADream the Neil Pearson one was Between the Lines. He was also in a thong called That's Love , would love to see if it's as good as I remember.

Willowmartha1 · 19/09/2020 08:31

Mother love about a women obsessed with her son it was so creepy does anyone remember it ?!

Defiantly41 · 19/09/2020 08:32

Oh no Blush

He was in a thing, not a thong

Oh god, please give us an edit button @MNHQ? I'll have to name change now

Willowmartha1 · 19/09/2020 08:32

@SoLongAsTheresCheese yes ! Loved the hotel with hapless mark the manager, there was another documentary about a double glazing firm too.

AuntieDolly · 19/09/2020 08:32

“Maggie” and “Connie” going back to the 80s

loutypips · 19/09/2020 08:33

Quantum Leap. I'm surprised that it's not shown up on prime or Netflix

Willowmartha1 · 19/09/2020 08:33

@Holothane I believe Julia died a few years ago

dancemom · 19/09/2020 08:37

Remind me what Faking It and Model Behaviour were, they sound familiar ...

Ally McBeal although I'd guess it hasn't aged well

SoLongAsTheresCheese · 19/09/2020 08:58

I just learned that there are quite a few Faking It episodes on All4. ! Not my favourite episodes but it's still the same show and there are quite a few that I haven't seen.

dancemom Faking It was a series where they took people and trained them in a specialist role/skill then entered them into competitions to see if they could fool the professionals/judges so a Naval officer became a Drag Queen or a punk singer tries to become a conductor.

Faking it was awesome. I still love the only one where you wanted them to fail. The knob trying to be a formula 1 driver. What a twat he was.

iklboo · 19/09/2020 11:30

Yes to Faking It. Great show.

UnitedRoad · 19/09/2020 12:21

I’ve got loads

I’d love to watch a Doctors from the beginning

Maggie, as someone else mentioned. I loved it, and still have the books. I’ve never forgiven my dad for not being a plumber and having a plumbing supplies shop. I really wanted to be Maggie

Dream Team

The Gemma Factor - no one I knew watched it. It was pretty awful but I loved it

Liverpool 1
Merseybeat
Blue Murder (on dvd but I wish they made more)
The Cops
Murder in suburbia
The Bill ( wish it was still going but not how it was the last few years)
Holby Blue (have the first series on dvd, but thought it went on longer)
City Central

Staying Alive (brilliant medical drama from the 90s)

Footprints in the snow - TV movie with Caroline Quentin and Kevin Whateley. I don’t think it’s been repeated

Cuffs - we’re currently rewatching it on amazon prime, but I wish they’d made more.

As you can probably tell, I love 90s/00s police dramas. I feel like there’s no tv I like nowadays apart from Doctors!

Graphista · 19/09/2020 12:35

Quantum Leap. I'm surprised that it's not shown up on prime or Netflix

I believe it's hbo owned and hbo have an incredibly antagonistic relationship with netflix and amazon

USA audiences can access of course but it leaves the rest of the world stuffed

Drop the dead donkey and spitting image - we could seriously do with more shows like this at the moment shining a light on this disastrous govt!

Fame - good call! "Starmaker" was on the radio I listen to the other day and that prompted a desire to see it again. I was also hugely saddened to learn the story behind the song. In the series it was sung to a retiring teacher, the actor who played that teacher was actually dying of cancer and that is why he was leaving and apparently the lyrics were more about him becoming a star after death and leaving them all Sad

RomanMum · 19/09/2020 14:01

No Angels.

From childhood: Knightmare and Captain Zep Space Detective. DH is convinced I'm making that one up but I remember it well

amiw · 19/09/2020 14:07

Eerie, Indiana
American Gothic
