I had recorded series 1 but never got around to watching it. I saw that series 2 is due to start this evening so I thought it was time to give it a whirl.

What an absolutely delightful programme! I binged all 6 episodes in one go. Right up my street. Funny and sweet and a little bit daft. A real joy. The characters/actors are all so brill. Favourites so far are Pat and Robin.

Pat’s grandson though - I cried at that. It was so well done. 😭

I had not heard of it. I can honestly say it's one of the best things I've seen in a long time!

And yes I cried at Pat's death day episode!

Excited about tonight. It's been a long time since I've looked forward to a new series so much

I fully intend watching the whole series on iPlayer afterwards

I said to DH last night "we have a dilemma, although episode 1 will be on the telly all six will be on iPlayer - should we good and only watch live or should we binge?" He voted binge so I don't have to try and find some will power. So excited! 👻👻👻👻👻👻👻

@Blondeshavemorefun I'm not sure if I'll be able to resist bingeing the entire series, but I agree it's fun to all discuss the same episode together,. So I'd support a weekly pace thread discussion.

No idea about Kitty. I don't think she had any obvious marks (mind you, Lady Button doesn't look like she's fallen out of a window.)

Mary doesn't exactly look burned either - but I will forgive them the wee inconsistencies.

Perhaps she actually died from smoke inhalation? Then it would be fine.

I'm wondering about Mary. The bulk of the witch trials were in the reign of Elizabeth I and James VII but we know the oldest parts of the current Button House date to the Tudor period. And Humphrey is Tudor (in real life Button House belonged to the family of Walter Raleigh). So was Mary burnt or Humphrey beheaded first and where in the grounds did it happen?

Love it , pacy, quirky, and above all funny. So much material in such a tight time

I loved the Fanny jokes in this evening's episode but I do have the sense of humor of a 15 year old

I'm wondering about Mary too, but for different reasons. DD and I just watched tonight's episode and we think the actress changes a few times between the 'real' Mary, actress Katy Wix and another actress. We stopped and replayed a few times. I'm sure there is someone else at times. Especially the bit just after her staring at the wall and then Alison walks through her. Anyone else notice?

Loved it all though. And all episodes available. We shall try to make it last, one episode per night this week.

We have decided to try and hold out so we have something to look forward to.

Yes, there was something odd about her, I said to DH it doesn't look or sound like her.

Katy Wix was quite poorly last year apparently. She had to drop out of filming Taskmaster for a few weeks. I wonder if it affected Ghosts as well?
