Loved series 1 and wondering if it might be suitable my mature 7 year old As we’re always looking for family viewing.

I really wish they’d bring back Quacks too but read it’s definitely not going to happen

Quacks was hugely underrated show, I was so invested in the characters.

Initially we watched it with my 11 and 12yo. It's 12 rated and the rating says 'moderate comic horror, sex references, language, violence'. But we have now let the (young) 8yo watch it and he loved it. I think the worst thing is Pat's death, Julian's sex references go over his head and any swearing isn't particularly bad.

Oh, I haven't seen Quacks, but it looks amazing!

I'm glad I saw this thread, I'll go and look for the trailer now! I like Thomas, with his dramatic sighing and sulking "drowning" himself in the lake.

We could never remember Alison's name (we called her "Barbara-with-a-nose-piercing" because we knew her from Call the Midwife) though. I loved the bit where they were house hunting and she could see the ghosts. The German fighter pilots outside the penthouse really tickled me.

Thanks - I was confused cos I went to set it to record and it's not there! A bit of investigating shows me it's on in most BBC regions but not Wales, where I am.

Excited about tonight. It's been a long time since I've looked forward to a new series so much

I fully intend watching the whole series on iPlayer afterwards

Think I need to watch S1 again, ds2 is into horrible histories now so he'll probably enjoy this too.
