Why did the police let Geoff go and why has nobody viewed the video of the night he attacked her and she snapped. It surely must be on his laptop.

excelledyourself · 11/09/2020 22:45

Im really disappointed that we're so quickly back to Leanne being in denial, insisting she knows best, and talking to people like shit.

I know it's probably a natural reaction, but I can't stand to watch it.

Redglitter · 11/09/2020 22:46

So a big fuck off hole appears in the garden and as pp said only one solo workman turns up. No team of people no emergency services and an hour later the Platts are all calmly enjoying life in a hotel. Seriously? Hard to believe its the same show that put out Wednesdsys excellent episode

Honeyroar · 11/09/2020 22:47

Yes I wondered why they only watched one short video of Geoff bullying Yasmeen before the incident without looking for any more relevant evidence.

Alwaysinpain · 12/09/2020 02:18

@Smallsteps88

I don’t get why ray would go for David like that.
I think Ray wants the house/land
Roussette · 12/09/2020 06:35

That sinkhole looked enormously deep. Clever effects not... looking up at David he was a dot on the screen.

AS IF one workman would come round... anywhere it happened it would be all over the news nationally.

And what has Ray to do with making this happen? How in god's name do you make a sink hole happen in someone's garden, and why is he doing this?

Also... I think the writers are treating us like fools! Tim put Elaine;s number on that piece of paper in the bin about a month ago! Are you telling me they wouldn't have emptied the bins at all? The number would not have still been there surely....

ajandjjmum · 12/09/2020 07:52

Rather than do one or maybe two stories really well, they're doing a few stories really badly. Bored of Shona. Want Geoff to be punished properly. And I've forgotten everything else! Hate the idea of Ray becoming the new baddie - can't we just have 'everyday' with 'normal life events' for a while, without serious criminal activity and absolute drama.

EdwardCullensBiteOnTheSide · 12/09/2020 08:12

I came on to say everything @Roussette said!

EdwardCullensBiteOnTheSide · 12/09/2020 08:17

Oooh and was anyone else praying Shona disappeared to the centre of the earth?

Mairyhinge · 12/09/2020 08:27

As a pp said, why wouldn't the police look for more videos of Geoff abusing yasmeen- when it was first discovered I was amazed at how such a short video ( awful that it was) could change Tim's whole view of his dad. He suddenly woke up and saw him for what he was after vehemently denying it for months, just from that video? Confused
There's surely more stuff into there? Unless the police have ( done their job properly for a a change) kept the lap top to look for further evidence ( which makes sense).
Why has ray organised a sink hole and how?? It came across that bloke in orange boiler suit dug it at some point, erm how???
All very very odd. The writers were either on glue or think we are Hmm

Willowmartha1 · 12/09/2020 08:27

What was all that nonsense in the cabin with Cathy talking to a raincoat ?!!

Roussette · 12/09/2020 08:41

It came across that bloke in orange boiler suit dug it at some point, erm how???

Every night orange boiler suit man arrived at midnight and dug until first light. Then covered it up and hoped no one noticed Grin

Either that or he dug from nexty door, like a tunnel and again no one noticed.

There is no way anyone could actually engineer a sink hole!

I'm laughing here at the Cathy talking to a dummy with a raincoat on.. ridiculous, are the corrie writers deliberately messing with our minds? Is this an intern seeing how far he can push it with ridiculous storylines, are we in the middle of a human experiment?
What next?
The way it's going, a couple of aliens coming into the Kabin wouldn't surprise me...

Lobsterquadrille2 · 12/09/2020 09:33

I always read these posts but rarely comment. However, after last night's utterly bizarre episode, following the excellence of Wednesday's .... just weird. Sinkholes, talking to dummies, another lost boy to claim a father, Ray's totally inexplicable scheme .... for me the best part was Sally's taxi monologue with Francesca. I love Sally!

Fiddlersgreen · 12/09/2020 09:37

I agree with everything that’s been said.

What the hell was that hour long “special” after Wednesdays magnificence?!

Only thing I have to add was about Elaine’s envelope still being in the bin after months is that although it’s been ages for us maybe their timeslines aren’t running the same as ours? Would explain Yasmeen still being in hospital too

RAOK · 12/09/2020 09:41

Nikki

eggandonion · 12/09/2020 10:10

I think the reference to waiting for godot on Wednesday was setting us up for some bizarre drama last night. Maybe all will become clear on Monday. Maybe.

Roussette · 12/09/2020 10:28

Very true FiddlersGreen Corrie time is not real time Grin

NCTDN · 12/09/2020 10:57

Yep pile of rubbish!! And even worse, when that Natasha and the nurses were talking and they pulled their masks down!Angry

NCTDN · 12/09/2020 10:59

And I really don't remember Natasha? coronationstreet.fandom.com/wiki/Natasha_Blakeman

eggandonion · 12/09/2020 11:31

I remember very little of this! Possibly because storyline repeats are a feature. Abortion in particular, with complex aftermath.
I would like Jason back please.

Willowmartha1 · 12/09/2020 11:36

How come the orange boiler suit man was the one that came to look at the hole ?! I thought David called the water board !! They don't think things through well at all !

Willowmartha1 · 12/09/2020 11:40

@excelledyourself yes I can't bear her all being all shouty and telling Steve Oliver will be fine ! Not sure that's very realistic at all. Poor Nick doing his 'weight of the world" look very well ! Bet he wished he'd stayed clear of her now !

BreconBeBuggered · 12/09/2020 11:40

He did call the water board, or whoever supplies Weatherfield's water. Presumably the luxury hotel is an inducement to keep them out of the way while the real deal shows up and...what, chucks any policies and procedures in the bin because Ray spins them a line? Very, very odd.
That great maws of doom hole did make me laugh, though.

eggandonion · 12/09/2020 11:54

Where I live, I'd call 999 about a sink hole. Firefighters would turn up. Then council people, and the local paper.
Maybe Geoff will fall into the hole and be badly hurt.

ColonelNobbyNobbs · 12/09/2020 12:00

I remember the Natasha storyline but maybe because I hate fake pregnancy stories! That’s all I remember though not anything else about her
