Hi tobee that sounds very high tech I didn't see any of that match, might try and catch up today while there's no live play. Also saw Jo Konta beat Sakkari overnight, that's a good win for her.

I like Naomi a lot. I was quite amazed to find she is the highest paid female athlete of all time. She is still so young. I suppose she must get a lot of sponsorship deals. I’m glad that tennis has made a stand - I think it can often be seen as a bit of an elitist and individualised (for obvious reasons) sport so I think it’s good that they’re showing a united front.

On a purely selfish level I was hoping to watch some uninterrupted tennis tonight as DH is playing football but I will forgive them as it’s such an important issue!

I have finally managed to get school shoes for dd2. And then spent a couple of hours (socially distanced ish ) in my mum's house.

Good work Raahh. I ordered DS's shoes online in the end (measured his feet with a print out foot measure). Hopefully I measured correctly as he has refused to try them on up to now

Interesting- although neither had a good week really- poor Kevin struggled badly with cramp, and Sascha is still having issues with his serve. It's a tricky (and unfortunate for both of them ) first round match up.

I've just seen Goffin has been drawn against Opelka- that could be a tricky one too.

I see Djok has been making a dig at Rafa not playing, because he seem to not really believe it is due to health and safety concerns, but because his ranking is protected. Er, no Djok. That's the kind of think you would care about. I'm really, really fed up with Novak.

I think Opelka was also injured this week wasn't he? There are probably going to be some unpredictable results - (but probably with Djok winning it in the end...)

Even better though was when the camera panned to the empty seats in the stadium and a raccoon was wandering about! I thought raccoons were about cat sized, but it was a great big fatty!! Perhaps he normally comes expecting to eat dropped corn dogs and salsa and chips?

Blimey - listening to the list of surgeries that Raonic has had since 2016, it is a wonder he is still bothering to play at all! Poor bloke. It really is unfair the way some players are so unlucky with injuries (like Delpo)- and others go through their career relatively unscathed.

I'm still hoping that Medvedev will up is game at the Open- I have been impressed by Milos this week though- you never know, he might continue that into the next fortnight. Anyone but Djok, definitely, I am just sick of hearing the whole 'unbeaten run' thing.

RBA could, of course, pull off an upset today.

(In a way it wouldn't be that much of an upset- RBA has beaten Djok iin their last 3 meetings on hard courts).

I have just realised I have prematurely aged dd2 - who is not 10 until the end of September. And that is actually very important.
