I didn’t see much of the tennis last night but looks as if Milos was too strong for Murray - wonder how he will get on at the US Open?

Can’t believe it starts this weekend although I suppose they’ve just got to go round the corner! Wonder if it will feel like a different tournament for the players?

I didn't see the rest of the Murray-Raonic match. Couple of good results for Andy though this week, if he gets a decent draw I reckon he will do well in NY (I know he's technically already in NY ).

I see Serena lost to Sakkari. I didn't see any of it though, not sure what time that was on. Hopefully some earlier matches today, I'm shattered!

I really hope a Struffing can happen- when they played in the first round in Melbourne, whilst it wasn't really close to an upset, Struff still took Djok to 4 sets- and a couple of them were tight. He's now reached his highest ever ranking - he's got nothing to lose, so he might as well just go all out.

Novak does need to knock the celebration on the head though- it was funny listening to Tim, he was really unimpressed. It doesn't endear Djok to the public- quite the opposite in fact.

Sakkari was looking pretty good when I saw some of her match the other day, so I'm not surprised at her result.

I like Raonic (lone voice on the thread), so am really pleased with his result. He's had a rough few years- really, both Milos and Andy have struggled since 2016, when they both had, arguably, their best year.

Medvedev is playing RBA later- bit torn on that one. I think Daniil stands the better chance of ousting Djok if Struff doesn't, than RBA (though he can beat Djok, as he has shown in the past).

I really like Raonic Raahh! I think he's very underrated - yes he has a big serve but he has a really good attacking game and he's quite crafty IMHO. He did well when he was working with Goran, I wish they had stuck together. I would probably prefer Andy to have won yesterday but still pleased for Milos. Honest!!

RBA v Medvedev eh - that should be a bit of a slug fest I hate that phrase but you know what I mean - a bit of a baseline battle. Agree Medvedev more likely to beat Djok in the long run.

Although having said that I haven't seen much of Djok play this week so far...

It looks as if the matches are starting later now - RBA and Medvedev are the first men’s match on at 6pm I think. I like both players but think Medvedev will edge it.

Serena is saying that she should have won her match - I find it really annoying that she never gives her opponent any credit for just being the better player! Grrr!

Watching a bit of Medvedev v RBA. It's 3-0 (or 3 - zip as the commentator just said ) to Medvedev but all the games have been close.

I had to go out for 10 minutes. This match has not really gone how I expected. But there is still time for RBA to catch up .

I'm not sure an unbeaten run- that was thwarted in March- really counts.
