Ooh that sounds nice Fizzy - hope you're having a nice time. It's a bit of an up and down match, although they've both hit some brilliant shots.

Thiem has just sneaked the first set on a tiebreak.

Fizzywinegum · 07/09/2020 21:19

Thanks Spidey - I just watched the breaker Hmm

FAA is one of the few players that looks good in the bright kit

JaneJeffer · 07/09/2020 21:31

The ATP posted a "who wore it best" and Felix was definitely the winner. Although it looks quite good on Big Foe too.

Fizzywinegum · 07/09/2020 21:44

Yes I agree with that - Big Foe looked good as well Grin

Not sure who is commentating with Tim but he keeps calling him Henners!

Forgot to say that AC was on Radio 5 earlier talking about Djok - he was pretty scathing about him especially the Adria tour - the interviewer had to intervene and say that Djok wasn’t there to defend himself!

Fizzywinegum · 07/09/2020 21:49

Is it Petch? He sounds different

kazzaD66 · 07/09/2020 21:55

Or is it Nick Mullins?
But then again, sometimes he does sound like Petch Confused

kazzaD66 · 07/09/2020 22:12

I really don't like Dom's shorts.
His hair is a bit daft aswell.
He always seemed like a sensible, quiet chap when he was younger.
I think he's either rebelling against that or having a very early mid life crisis Grin

PrivateSpidey · 07/09/2020 22:14

It's Nick Lester. I only know that because it showed him and Tim beforehand. Sorry Henners I mean.

Well poor old Felix. Thiem just ran away with it after the first set.

Thanks for the update on AC Fizzy! Grin

kazzaD66 · 07/09/2020 22:15

Hhmm, those two sets went quickly.

And Pironkova is through aswell.

PrivateSpidey · 07/09/2020 22:16

Pironkova - what a story. Her first tournament in three years?! Shock

kazzaD66 · 07/09/2020 22:17

Ah, thanks private
Mystery solved.

Fizzywinegum · 07/09/2020 22:17

I was thinking mid life crisis kazza but he is only 27 Grin. Maybe it’s a sort of quarter life crisis!

Anyway he was too strong for Felix tonight

kazzaD66 · 07/09/2020 22:18

And she's a mother Wink

kazzaD66 · 07/09/2020 22:21

Well, it's certainly not hair highlighting Dom Hmm

Raahh · 08/09/2020 07:02

I failed to watch much of anything last night, just didn't have the energy. Feel a bit better today. Poor Felix, one match too far, but to be fair Dom has been looking great- and going back to an earlier conversation- I thought he might even be the oldest one left in the draw (at the grand age of 27) but Carreno Busta is older Grin.

A comprehensive win for Medvedvev, so things are shaping up to be quite interesting now.

I like Pironkova- so now there a 3 mothers in the QFs. Grin. I'm really pleased to see Azarenka having a good run.

PrivateSpidey · 08/09/2020 08:38

Yes the mothers are taking over Raahh! Grin

I watched a bit of Rublev v Berrettini last night, but still haven't seen any of Medvedev. Yes PCB is the oldest left in the men's - I never did find out the answer to that question earlier, but I presume it was Djok.

I was just reading about Ash Barty not travelling to RG.

Raahh · 08/09/2020 09:27

Oh no- a big shame about Ash. I mean, I can understand it, but a big loss to RG, still. Sad

JaneJeffer · 08/09/2020 12:36

Rafa's looking good

I'm loving the knitwear. He looks very relaxed.

Raahh · 08/09/2020 13:42

Very nice picture of Rafa. He does look relaxed.

Do we get a re-count in the most fashionable poll? .Surely now Djok should have that title removed . Grin

magimedi · 08/09/2020 16:59

Waves to all. Am sort of following the tennis. DH is moving to a rehab unit today where he will have a lot of work done on him regaining enough mobility to come home. Possibly 2 weeks. Sadly visiting is not allowed, but I can drop him off stuff & it is only 10 mins fromhome. The relief of not having to do a round trip of 60 miles every day is great - wile roads & was taking at least an hour each way. He will also have his own room & he is thrilled about that. I am goingto take the time to have abit of a rest - am berluddy knackered.

magimedi · 08/09/2020 16:59

Vile roada.

magimedi · 08/09/2020 17:00

Vile roads.

Must proof read my posts!

JaneJeffer · 08/09/2020 17:15

I'm not surprised you're knackered magi. It's very stressful for you Thanks

OP posts:
Raahh · 08/09/2020 18:23

Magi Flowers

It makes a big difference when the hospital is nearer, I struggled a lot last year when ds ended up in a hospital 50+ miles away. The visiting was restricted, and we barely saw him.

Anyway -you get lots of rest.

oh, just seen the end of the Putintseva/Brady match, Brady has won.

It could be an all American semi final, if Shelby Rogers beats Osaka.
