There's a long precedent of defaults in those circumstances. Clearly not intentional but just the latest in a long line of un-sportsman like conduct from him.

I think the technical tennis jargon is that Djok has had a bit of a twatish year so far

His MO seems to keep his head down until he comes up with his next big idea. He went quiet for ages after the Covid fiasco. He must be absolutely gutted.
