Just seen that Mladenovic and her doubles partner have been withdrawn from the tournament and Mladenovic has to quarantine because she’d been playing cards with Benoît. It seems as if the rules aren’t being applied very consistently.

Were the French players all playing scrabble at a tournament one year or was that part of the parallel tennis universe? I get confused

Some very some very oone sided first sets- although Brady had to fight harder in the second set to win her match against Kerber. Shame, I like Kerber.

Putintseva is crazy! I forget the match, but she had called her coach on court, basically so that she could lay into him for not supporting her in the stands. "You're just sitting there watching your stupid videos about flat earth!"

I have moved over to the start of the Zverev match. Davidovich Fokina was good the other day, so I'm hoping this is good match.

I like Putinseva, she's never boring that's for sure.
