Of course his first name is actually ^Jeffrey* which is less interesting Grin.

PrivateSpidey · 05/09/2020 17:28

I'm watching JJ Wolf! He's rocking a bit of an Agassi-esque look, I like it!!

Tim was just saying it'd be good for him (Wolf) if he had the home crowd support here against Medvedev. Just the early stages though ATM.

Watched a bit of Sakkari v Animisova (sp?) earlier, Sakkari played really well.

Raahh · 05/09/2020 17:33

He is very Agassi-esque.

I suspect it is his own hair though Wink

Sakkari has been playing very well lately, she seems to be coming into her own.

Rublev has pretty much blown his opponent off court.

Raahh · 05/09/2020 17:57

Tim is giving out stats again.

Fed has lost 22 matches, having had match point. This makes Our Tim feel better. Grin.

Talking of Fed, he would not like the shadow on Ashe. He would be complaining about it . (was that Rome last year? the wrong type of shadowGrin).

Mind you, probably wouldn't affect him, all his matches would be scheduled in the 'night' sessions I imagine, even without the crowds.

PrivateSpidey · 05/09/2020 18:08

Grin wrong type of shadow yes I think it was Rome wasn't it?!

To be fair, the shadows are a bit distracting ATM Grin

Raahh · 05/09/2020 18:24

They are a bit. But even soGrin

Raahh · 05/09/2020 18:29

Pospisil has taken the first set against RBA.

Vamos Busta Gut! Grin

PrivateSpidey · 05/09/2020 18:44

Yes that's a bit of a turn up isn't it? I'm still watching Medvedev and he's looking a likely winner.

Tim is talking up FAA - he reckons he's the best of the "next Gen".

Raahh · 05/09/2020 18:57

I do like Felix AA. He just has to stay fit. It's always hard, when they start 'talking up' the NextGen. I remember when they were bigging up the likes of Nishikori to win a slam. And Thiem is somewhere in the middle- in theory he should be the next to win. But you never can tell.

I think of those, just out side NextGen age- Medvedev is the most likely, on current form. Followed by Tsitsipas and Zverev.

And Casper Ruud. My favourite Norwegian.

Raahh · 05/09/2020 19:03

Now we have the 'mullet' discussion.

They are not keen.Grin

Well done Daniil.

Raahh · 05/09/2020 19:09

Much better second set, by the look of the score, for RBA.

Raahh · 05/09/2020 19:09

And they have an even more annoying shadowGrin.

Fizzywinegum · 05/09/2020 19:11

I’m not watching but yes I think Wolf is influenced by Agassi - I just saw the end of his match the other day and was distracted by the hair (and his semi nakedness!) Grin

JaneJeffer · 05/09/2020 19:11

I've seen J.J. talking on Instagram and he seems really nice. He reminds me of Cory Feldman back in the 80's. I think it's the hair.

OP posts:
PrivateSpidey · 05/09/2020 19:14

FAA kind of has everything, I think he's great. It's just consistency/staying fit isn't it (same as the other next gen players), and he's still really young so it's hard to predict.

Although Tim seemed pretty convinced so I'm happy to go with that Grin

PrivateSpidey · 05/09/2020 19:15

He reminds me of Cory Feldman
Yes! I knew he reminded me of someone (other than Andre).

Ooh they are interviewing Martina.

Raahh · 05/09/2020 20:01

Pospisil has the trainer again. He had the trainer when he played Raonic, and got covered in lardy stuff.

The he won the match.

Much muttering as to whether he actually has cramp (and that wouldn't warrant a medical time out).

He has tape on his thigh now.

Raahh · 05/09/2020 20:04

Scoreline looking good for Sloane.

Raahh · 05/09/2020 20:25

Hmm since his injury break, Pospisil has turned this around. Magic tape, clearly.

I think he has more in common with his mate Djok, than just the player coucil stuff.

PrivateSpidey · 05/09/2020 20:37

Hmm seems like it.

Serena's playing a lot better this set.

Raahh · 05/09/2020 20:39

That's a shame.

Sorry, I'm really not a Serena fan.

Actually, no, I'm not sorry. I can be a fan of whoever I want. Grin.

Raahh · 05/09/2020 20:42

My tv seems to have switched over from the RBA match to the Khachanov one. By itself.

Raahh · 05/09/2020 20:43

Oh flipsake.

VAMOS RBA

Raahh · 05/09/2020 20:48

Khachanov looks like he is about to go out.

Goodbye, massive luminous shorts.

I'm getting cross. The commentary is really quite Pospisil -biased and I don't know why. When did he get to be such a favourite with the pundits?

PrivateSpidey · 05/09/2020 20:49

Domi is watching Serena v Sloane from his balcony.

Hey I see Ruud is out Raahh. Berrettini seems to be playing well. Plays Rublev next, that should be good.

Not sure if I should switch to something else while this is just early in the third - so many options Confused
