I slept really badly last night too. It's seems weird and normal at the same time watching DS2 going off on the bus!

Dh (still working from home) has taken dd1. So that's made my life a bit easier. There is no bus from where we live- so I used to drive her, (she walks home, but she would never get up in the morning in time to walk there) and then come back and take dd2. It was real faff in the morning to be honest, and by 9, I felt like I'd been out for hours.

All the new rules about drop off, and staggered pick ups at primary are giving me a headache. And I'm glad that I only have one in primary- and not 3, like I did at one point. I know a number of families who will be hanging around from 3- 3.40 to pick up their dc, because they are in various different classes. But will all go home together. .

Morning all. I stayed up for the end of the Millman match - Tiafoe won, which looked v unlikely at one stage. Shame for Millman, deserves to go further than the second round but I like Tiafoe as well.

It was always going to be difficult to recover from that long match for Andy.

Grigor lost - 6-1 in the fifth.

You're right about Medvedev and Thiem Raahh, just quietly making their way through. Berrettini as well.

Apparently that Evans-Moutet match was really good - did anyone see any of it? It was suspended overnight.

I watched Dan's match until he lost the second set. It had some great play - lots of slices, angles and net play, rather than boring top spin from one baseline to the other.

I haven't seen Khachanov yet but yes, Moutet had a bloody awful Nike kit with really bright fluorescent yellow shorts and trainers. They really did hurt my eyes
He's a bit of a character. Completely lost it in the first set and kept chuntering on to no one in particular for most of the second! At one stage, he was having a go at his coach, who was sitting about two metres away courtside, and the coach refused to even look at him

They didn't want him drinking out of the can because of advertising so they wanted to take it off-court and pour it into a cup. Thiem wouldn't allow that because of doping reasons! They eventually let him pour it himself while someone held a towel in front of him. Bonkers! They have drawn more attention to Red Bull than if they just ignored it.

kazza I heard the Evans match was quite "spicy" . It sounds good.

They're second on today after Norrie's match, will definitely try and watch that one.

That is nuts, about Dom, and yes, they have given Red Bull more advertising than if they had just left him to it.

It does sound like Moutet is in the Khachanov kit- I really want to see them play in the datrk .

I have dropped off dd2. Utter chaos. The caretaker did not open the gates when they said they woud he has always been crap and 200 kids, plus parents were packed on the pavements. No chance to social distance, car everywhere, buses running up and down the road. Nightmare.

But there was a nice rainbow balloon arch over the gate to welcome them back. .

Well that's annoying- was watching the Norrie match, and Annabel was cut off mid sentence, and my Prime feed says 'event ended'- it blooming hadn't!

Well, Norrie lost. But I didn't see it, since it went off, and for all I know, Annabel was commentating merrily to herself, oblivious, that Prime ad switched her off.

I have been watching Goffin since, Private- not even that fussed about Norrie- the Spaniard (the probably kept calling him The Spaniard) was was playing, Davidovich Fokina was playing really well. He's had some good results in the past.

I appear to be the kiss of death to matches. Now the Goffin match is just showing the outside of the stadium.

Yes it takes a bit of getting used when they don't talk during the changeovers - they quite often seem to show that shot of the grounds! I like that though. It's quite relaxing
