I would have liked to have seen how Federer would deal with no crowds- I think it might sort of suit Rafa- he doesn't really like too much noise, but he does like the crowd to get behind him. Roger seems to actively encourage crowd paticipation.

Djok, as we have seen, is deluded coping ok, and, a bit like 'Sixth Sense' - he can probably see and hear an imaginary crowd. All cheering for him.

Fizzy I was thinking of Thiem's uber 80s look, when we talking about the 'most fashionable award.

Thiem, and his 'vintage' leather look, would not win.

Just switched over to Sinner v Khachanov - it’s all very day-glo

So far I’m finding the outfits more interesting than the tennis.

I think Roger would struggle with no crowd - he needs to be adored . Yes Djok probably visualises the crowd all loving him and that’s who he’s doing the creepy celebration to - weirdo!

I can’t really think of many stylish tennis players - they all look a bit strange when they’re not in their tennis uniform - I’d forgotten about Thiem’s vintage leather and what about Medvedev’s green turtle neck sweater?

I'm glad it's only two days. It's going to be a shock to the system for DS2! I'm sure there's going to be a shutdown again at some stage for some classes but we'll have to see how it goes.

Evening

I've just got in from my night out home by 6.30! We went to a sushi place, was v nice.

Oh what sad news about Carla SN. She always seems like such a lovely person I think. Hope she will be ok.

Just tuned in to Andy's match. Yikes. Nishioka is a decent player though. V consistent. I like him as well - loved Delpo's five setter against him at RG last year - remember how they bowed to each other at the end??!

Barbora is the only stylish player I can think of.

Oh Private there's a remake of All Creatures Great and Small starting on Channel 5 tonight. No Peter Davison though.
