Was it Matt's mum who was over the moon that he was getting married? She was lovely. I wonder what she thinks of his behaviour towards Alycia.

(Old) Sean also never checked in to this at all. I feel sorry for Jo having to put up with such a socially inept oaf (lunch for one? How romantic?!)
And what’s with Troy patting Ashley’s head like she’s some sort of dog? I’d laugh if she bit him. She’s terrific - far more switched on than Troy gives her credit for.
Biggest turn-offs by far though this series are Thumbface and DaviNA. Both vile on the outside and inside. Not sure who is worse out of the two of them....and I find each of them difficult to watch. Poor Tracey and Ryan deserve better than these schemers.

@LarkDescending -yes from what I remember, Matt’s mum had a really strange, instant positive reaction, when Matt said he was getting married.

What about the lame ideas the production company are coming up with for activities for the couples!.......why on earth would Troy and Ashley need to be putting up a cheaparse flat packed bookcase, in a temporary apartment? Did they pop along to the nearest IKEA and say ‘ooo that’s just the things we need in our expensive harbour side flat!’

....and the spay tan thing, how rubbish! Think of something new! who’d want to have that tent thingy in the middle of your sitting room carpet......Tracey giggling like it was the funniest thing ever, when it was just an excuse to remind Bozo what her fake boobs looked like (yawn)

I’d really prefer to see more of the nicer couples, than the Thumbface/ DaviNA will they, won’t they? -course they bloody will, like a pair of rabid dingoes!

I wondered if they received suggestions for activities, in so far as you could choose from a list and the kit needed would be delivered in?
Left up to old Sean, his activity would be...sitting. in silence of course.

I felt so sorry for her sitting and eating alone, I think I’d have lost my appetite as soon as he said he wasn’t having any. She looked like that was a real kick in the guts.

Would be good if at weekends we could have an unseen footage episode, a bit like other reality tv shows sometimes do. ( I know, I know, I’ve been well and truly sucked in!)

I think Matt (and I suspect older Sean also) went into this experiment not realising how reliant they actually are on alcohol. To me they both have the look of heavy drinkers and the constantly wanting to get away and failing that, causing a ruck in order to get away is so they can drink. Last night I knew the next bit of film featuring Matt would have him with a glass in his hand in a bar and BINGO! It's a shame Alycia is copping the shitty end of that stick though. Matt is trying to protect her without actually even admitting to himself he is alcohol dependent. He's in a mess inside his head as he wants one but he has got to have the other. I suspect his emotional state is genuine and he is suddenly facing his demons and in front of TV cameras too. Nightmare!

At least Matt is trying to be kind to Alycia - Miserable Sean has been nothing but an ill-tempered *rse from start to finish.

Poor Jo has has gone onto the show genuinely hoping to find love (and not just promote herself) and she has been kicked in the teeth. She was a vulnerable person to start with, and he has treated her like muck.

When she had the height-terrors he showed a sympathetic side, and I really thought that would be the breakthrough for them to enjoy their time on the show, even if they weren't suited, but he's determined that if he doesn't get what he wants, then no-one is going to have a good time.

She IS great, isn't she? I absolutely love her. She was disappointed that she'd got landed with a twerp, but has made the best of it and is babysitting him beautifully.

Agreed - it was a very tender friendship that grew into more. Sadly it didn't last, but that doesn't make it any less genuine. They really enjoyed each other's company, and "had each other's backs" (Do you like that expression? I made it up myself - I don''t think anyone has ever heard it before . . . )

Jo says that she hadn’t laughed so much in years, yet all of the footage of them show them sitting glumly in silence. I really hope they do have a laugh together because Sean is coming across as uncaring and unkind. Yes Jo came on the show to find love but I reckon a good mate out of it would be a plus too. This is just excruciating.

Talking of excruciating, step forward Thumbface and DaviNA. Just yuck. She’s hard faced and only has the capacity to love herself and he keeps raising both eyebrows in a smug check me out way. No thank you.

I’d like to see more of Carly and Justin and Charlene and Patrick as I feel like I hardly know them!

Alycia is not going to get her fairy tale on this show, but I think Matt has a point, she did go into this fully expecting a prince/white horse/rescue type thing, she said before her wedding that it's all she ever wanted was to walk down the aisle, she had her blinkers on and now they've been removed she can't cope, she should go home because it's not going to get any better.

Tracey will cling on by her finger nails to Dean, come hell or high water she'll fight for him so Davina should watch out and stop playing with fire.

I like Ryan and think he's trying quite hard to be fair to him, he has problems communicating and then ties himself up in knots trying to explain what he means

I'm looking forward to seeing how the rest of them get on, a lot of focus on the three couples I mentioned so we need to see more of the others.

Your self-esteem is worth more than any $200/day (especially when you think of it as an hourly rate!)

She's a vulnerable woman who was so looking forward to the chance of a relationship, or even just a friendship from this, and that miserable-faced pr*ck will destroy her. All he had to do was be kind; say he wanted to take things slowly and get to know each other, and she would have been happy with that.

I do think she came on far too strong for him - but that was nerves and a desperate attempt to be the sort of woman she thought a man would want. Now that she is less loud she is much more likeable.

But I can promise you now, that if he'd had ANY one of the younger, slimmer women paired with him, no matter how loud, or in-your-face or sexually aggressive she'd been, he'd have been over the bloomin' moon! He claimed that he didn't consider himself attractive right at the beginning, but it's pretty obvious that he still thinks he should have been assigned a Hot Babe.

100% this. I think he would have even given NPJs wife ( is it Mellissa?) a chance. Although she’s older she is slim, and glamorous. From the moment Jo walked down the aisle you could see on his face he was unimpressed, and this was before she opened her mouth or showed anything of her personality.
