I think I might watch series 4 again as well . Having got this far with the Deans , the Tracies , the old miserable Sean , the Matts etc of this series I feel like returning to the golden uplands of 4 where most couples were lovely and the ones that weren’t were just mildly annoying .

This series seems to be showing human nature at its worst , most petty , most unkind self . I think it’s going to get worse with the Davina/Dean scenario .

Hope we get a bit more of the couples who appear to be making a better fist of it : Telv and Sarah , John and Melissa , Gabrielle and Nasser and not just this unalloyed misery .

How do they film all the little snippets of discord ? Do the couples call up the cameraman , “ Quick we’re about to have a flaming row”.

Shocking behaviour from Davina and Dino! Not much left to the imagination in Dino’s underpants. How awful he is gaslighting her that relationships ‘in Sydney’ are all about being open to sleep with other people, shocking!

Matt was awful. Not sure if it is wise or not for Alycia to forgive him.

Sarah and Telv and Charlene and Patrick looking great together.

I wonder if Troy has OCD. That counting when he turned out the light is pretty suspicious to me.

It’s funny that Ryan and Davina do just seem to have fun. He is going to be fuming when he knows she was texting Dino while he, Ryan, was cooking dinner!

I must admit I am not very invested in John and Melissa or Blair and Sean! Actually not that invested in Nasser and Gabrielle either, although I think Gabrielle is lovely.

I do think it is an odd thing to choose to do exercise for your being the boss day!!

This show doesn’t show Australian men in a good light, not at all. [apart from Simon, obviously]

I cannot get my head round Deano or Matt.

Deano basically said some bullshit about not being monogamous (yet applied to a show literally to find The One); didn't apologise in any way; blamed Tracey for not understanding him; didn't give any impression at all that he wanted to try again. Yet Tracey is already behaving exactly the same way as she was previously- all affectionate and giggly, and as if they're properly giving it a go this time.

Matt - he's behaving really oddly. Complaining that Alycia is too invested in him and that he's upset he keeps hurting her. Um, again, if you apply to married to someone, don't get all arsey when they get too invested. If he isn't keen, he needs to tell her, rather than kick off then say he'll try harder then kick off ad nauseum. We saw his conversation with Telv and Sarah, yet his anger and upset still doesn't make any more sense to me

Dean is coming across as an absolute arse of a man. What is Tracey seeing in him?

As for Mat, I think he has problems that are nothing to do with the lovely Alycia. As others have said, it possible that alcohol is the love of his life.

Yes I’m pretty sure they did. The whole show is just a big script! (although I never knew people came round with portable green houses to do spray tans!!

I'm always concerned at the damage people are doing to themselves by doing spray tans on people every day but not wearing a mask. Surely inhaling those chemicals constantly is a disaster waiting to happen 😕

NowYouListenToMeFella, he is adamant that he has no interest in it at all, but also says that Dean is a twat, Tracey needs to find her self respect and stop listening to what he says, Troy is a child trapped in a man’s body, Ashley is funny, Telv is a good bloke, Sarah is a sweetheart, Ryan is being hard done by, DaviNA is a conniving monster (and the age gap between her an Deano is too big), Charlene is brilliant, Patrick seems a good sort, Alycia deserves more than Matt is giving her, and Non-Polynesian John might find happiness with Melissa. But, you know, he’s not really into it at all. No sir. Not one bit.

Maybe they have all met more than that!

I think Matt (and I suspect older Sean also) went into this experiment not realising how reliant they actually are on alcohol. To me they both have the look of heavy drinkers and the constantly wanting to get away and failing that, causing a ruck in order to get away is so they can drink. Last night I knew the next bit of film featuring Matt would have him with a glass in his hand in a bar and BINGO! It's a shame Alycia is copping the shitty end of that stick though. Matt is trying to protect her without actually even admitting to himself he is alcohol dependent. He's in a mess inside his head as he wants one but he has got to have the other. I suspect his emotional state is genuine and he is suddenly facing his demons and in front of TV cameras too. Nightmare!
