Just watched tonight's episode, as we had a family fish&chip supper. Yummy it was too.
Our thoughts:
Melissa and NP John seem lovely. NPJ has an adorable relationship with his daughters, they seem very close. High hopes here!
Troy. Actually the kind of looks I used to go for (a bit Sloaney and that laugh!.) Unfortunately he probably also calls his penis Little Troy, he wanted a real life Barbie and he was definitely hitting on his attractive MIL, so that's all a bit creepy

Hello all! Am joining in, watched series 4 and have sucked into 5! Catching up as the tv was commandeered by Mr Raspberry for snooker. Troy is def Jim Carey, thought so myself. He's quirky and I think more nervous than he let on, but still too self absorbed.
I hope Ashley can stand her ground or he'll walk all over her.

John and Melissa seem a great match.

I am traumatised by witnessing Troy's teeth brushing and kissing. He is so annoying although not as much as the 'expert' John. Do you think Ashley really understands what is meant by a Stepford Wife?

Yep, the Oz one is nuts but it’s bloody addictive.. we all seem to love the car crash that this is but it only seems to be a car crash due to the experts and producers intentionally setting up opposites then pretending to be sad that it didn’t work out, yeah right, lol

I don’t think the experts see it as their fault , it’s just that the chosen few stray from their psychologically worked out persona and don’t follow the script .

I’m still not able to readily identify the different people in this series . The only one who stood out , for the wrong reason , this evening was Troy . I think he has a horrible mouth and looks a bit like Buzz Lightyear .

It was lovely to see NPJ again , like seeing an old friend . I’m hoping this will work for him - Melissa seems a better match and being a journalist should be able to communicate well . Please don’t disappoint us .

It was amusing that so many of the wedding party , including the bride , had seen the previous series and “knew” NPJ and of course Polynesian fanatic Debs . Wonder if this will have any bearing on the outcome ?

I was willing Melissa to tell John she'd need expecting a Polynesian 😂 They seem like a good couple. I hope they get along.

Troy. Ugh. He seems like the sort of man who sees women of really no importance and therefore has no interest in talking to them. He seems to have no idea what to say and thinks telling them they're attractive is all they want to hear. I thought he was awful. I actually said "eurgh" out loud when he went to kiss Ashley towards the end of the night. I physically recoiled.

Well hello there you lot, this is where you got to. I said I wouldn’t do it but hey, I’m back. The only caveat is I’m recording and watching the next day so can’t join you live. I would be divorced if DH has to endure another series and then I’d be in on MAFS. I wonder what a guy from the islands would be like........

Haven’t seen tonight’s but so far I’m liking Ruby and hating Patrick’s mum. Had high hopes for Alyssa and ? but now not so sure. What is it with these Aussie blokes mate? Really dislike Davina and ? (the names escape me) and Tracey’s fella is sleazy. Quick question: do you have to have had lips and cheeks filled to go on this show??

Hoping it works out for John and Mel. I had hopes for Charmaine and Patrick but I thinks she's was too good for him.

Well those were two very, very different weddings! John was totally lovely. He really deserves to be happy and Melissa seems so nice. The two families mixed well and his daughter’s were lovely and supportive, even though they had been through this before.

Troy was horribly big-headed, he was acting as if he was some amazing catch. Reminded me of a poor Hugh Grant in Four Weddings and a funeral.

Can't say I really got a handle on Ashley but her sisters are feisty and I think Summer definitely has a handle on Troy.
