Seemed a weird honeymoon trip for jo and Sean to do a go ape thing when Sean didn't like heights and just said no not doing it? Surely arrange something both couples would enjoy!

It was a test to see what happened. One they both passed with flying colours. I think the production team was hoping Jo would throw her toys out of her pram when Sean refused it and then crow when she’d done it. It really changed their dynamic but in a good was so it misfired.

Just catching up on last nights episode.

Dean is a complete drip. As is Sean. Two drips with nice enough women. Sometimes wonder why they match these people when its so clearly a terrible combination

Laughed so much at Ryan eating that oyster Davina is farrrrrrr too serious for him

Oh Telv, he’s doing good listening. That’s a lot to hear early on. He’s so nice and reacted really well. They’re a bit adorable.

Ok. Im backtracking a little on Sean now. He is nicer than he came across at the start of this episode. Absolutely cannot stand Dean. He makes me feel sick. He's just like his misogynistic friend from LA. Not a good thing

Glad you found it Gin! I haven’t read half of it yet as I’m waiting for my DP to come over tonight so we can catch up! At least I get to binge 2-3 episodes at a time this way, but like others, I’m struggling to remember names - luckily he comes up with own names for them “fat Shrek” I think was Telv and one of the ladies he was quite mean about, so I won’t say his nickname for her

Does anyone know why we’ve started MAFS AUSTRALIA here in the UK at season 4 ?

Is it because series 1 - 3 aren’t exciting enough ; too exciting ; too bonkers ; not bonkers enough ?

Are the EXPERTS for real ? By that I mean do they have professional qualifications ? How do they explain their lack of success ? Is Jon Aikens hair expanding - it’s more like a very long coxcomb in this series .

The experts look like they are sitting in a pub half cut on cocktails and playing a card game when they 'lock in' the contestants. My dog is more of a psychologist than they are.

I think these threads are probably the best thing about MAFS AUSTRALIA . I always check the site as soon I finish watching the programme - there are some very funny/clever comediennes contributing .

I did read a newspaper article where John Aiken was celebrating 13 years of happy marriage . He says the secret of a happy marriage is to keep home and work life completely separate . Apparently his wife told him from the beginning “ I don’t want a therapist - cut the psychobabble.”

I did read that series 4 was the first time they introduced the 'dinner date' episodes to MAFS Oz so I'm wondering if maybe the previous ones weren't as interesting? And so they thought they'd start us off with a ratings hit? (no idea if it was a ratings hit tbh but just guessing)
