Ready for the next car crash carnage - please fill up other thread first. I'm sure you can think of something. Grin

Jo was less annoying last night.

26-year-old Davina is totally on it just for the TV exposure.

I find Thumb and fake tits revolting.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 14/08/2020 07:49

Jo was much less annoying.

I think she's relaxing a bit and doesn't feel she has to be mad all the time. I liked Sean better, too, for being kind to her.

OP posts:
Egghead68 · 14/08/2020 07:56

Yes Sean came across well.

So promising couples:
Sarah and Telv
Charlene and Patrick
???? Jo and Sean???

Don’t think any of the others have a hope of making it past the next few weeks.

burnoutbabe · 14/08/2020 08:00

Seemed a weird honeymoon trip for jo and Sean to do a go ape thing when Sean didn't like heights and just said no not doing it?
Surely arrange something both couples would enjoy!

Eaumyword · 14/08/2020 08:00

Oh no, we have to get botox and lip fillers?!
I have neither but still would like to carry on posting. I've been secretly considering teeny tiny botox for my frown but I won't supersize my lips. I hope that's acceptable to the thread.
I agree about Jo but still think the poor woman is going to be so embarrassed at not reading Sean's cues.
Interesting Egghead, for the Aussie slang terms, thanks for sharing the link.

This is so useful!

  1. Furphy – rumours or stories that are improbable or absurd

Wasn’t he Nick Furphy?

RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder · 14/08/2020 08:19

I reckon that drongo Dean thinks his Sheila’s a bit of a root rat after all that pashing!

SpanishFly · 14/08/2020 08:20

Yes Rinder, he was Nick Furphy. If that was already a slang word, then it would explain why they used his surname all the time, as they were kind of laughing along with it.

Yes to the pp who said they don't really care about this lot. I agree, I think it's partly because we didn't get to know anything about them until they're pretty much walking down the aisle (which they all seem to do really quickly in MAFS), whereas in the last series we had the hen and stag dos first.
Secondly I think it's because they're generally less "normal" people.
Thirdly, we now know how little success there is, so we're watching this series with new eyes.

SpanishFly · 14/08/2020 08:21

PS Dean is a knob.

SpanishFly · 14/08/2020 08:22

I hate how Dean is really into shagging Tracey and talking about her like she's meat 🍖

thismeansnothing · 14/08/2020 08:27

I'm.still not quite there with names yet. I'm still getting over the emotional investment of series 4. I think they should have had a bit of a break to let us digest that before showing series 5.

But anyway. Mr spit out an oyster and retch saying "I'm crap at relationships I need someone to help/teach me". Nah. That would be a no from me. At thirty odd or whatever I'd expect someone to just get on with it. I don't have time to be teaching someone how to behave/work as a couple. Maybe they could have paired him up with someone equally as inexperienced. But either way his Botox gym bunny would find the fault in anything and sounds a nightmare. She just wanted a wedding n a party with her mates.

Thumb heads annoying 'yes I think we'll work'. Next second to camera 'i have big doubts'

And how can Mr red cap at the dinner table decide they r so miss matched over a meal. Tbh didn't look my cup of tea either and I'd be more at home with pizza and beer but I'd give it a go for the experience and the whole 'when in rome' of it all

RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder · 14/08/2020 08:40

SpanishFly I hate how Dean is really into shagging Tracey and talking about her like she's meat it’s horrible. He is absolutely the type who thinks he is a legend for sleeping with her, and she’s a slut for sleeping with him. Repulsive.

thismeansnothing agree. No one wants to be teaching a 30 year old how to date. They should have matched him with someone childish.

DaviNA’s immaturity is in how she over reacts to everything, it’s not the same type as his. I imagine she might try to make it work to stay on camera longer. Her return to the table last night (after dark) felt a bit like she’d suddenly calmed down enough to realise “Oh shit, I’m going to have to look like this is working a bit if I’m going to stay on the programme! Better get back in there.”

Weirdly it was the fact that she let him kiss her that made it all seem less genuine. I don’t think she would have if she was really sorry (I know that sounds counter intuitive, but if the whole apology was fake then she was already in a state of pretending, so carried it on, but if she’d been genuine she would have had a more genuine reaction to kissing a man she recently watched throwing up).

RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder · 14/08/2020 08:41

Thank you phone for giving DaviNA some fancy capitals. Actually I think they work. She is a bit “Nah” about everything.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 14/08/2020 09:06

I won't supersize my lips

Nor me - my gob is big enough already.

He is unspeakably foul!

I agree - I didn't think that trying something new was bad, and none of us can help being ill, but there's no way I would kiss someone who had just boaked - they would need a good tooth clean and mouth rinse before they could peck me on the cheek!

Yes- they suit her - like WankTHony's "TH". Grin

You mean I did this to my face for nothing?!

I’m pouting so hard right now.

hoxtonbabe · 14/08/2020 09:10

@RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder

I thought he meant between 9 and 26 he was raised by his dad/limited contact with her. I assumed his parents divorced at some point rather than her being widowed and the Man with her at the house/accompanying her to the wedding was the husband. Either way it’s a bit nuts to behave like she is when you’ve not been a major part of his life for a big chunk of it.

RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder · 14/08/2020 09:11

@hoxtonbabe you could well be right. I’d assumed they just weren’t close until after his dad died. If I google it will I see spoilers? I probably shouldn’t risk it.

hoxtonbabe · 14/08/2020 09:26

@RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder

Don’t do it! Lol

I’m sure as the weeks unfolds more will be revealed to us about their relationship..

RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder · 14/08/2020 09:27

We can only hope Grin I’m sitting on my hands.

Thanks Eau, that means a lot. I knew you’d have my back.
Eaumyword · 14/08/2020 09:54

It was my gut telling me what to do Wink

RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder · 14/08/2020 09:55

You can’t go wrong with following your gut... unless it’s telling you something different to your heart... or your head... or your mum.

Just realised who Tracey reminds me of!

Was good to see Sean treating Jo nicely. She doesnt seem to want much does she, and I wonder what her back story is to so appreciate the little effort he had been making.
