Why is Dean fixated on the psychic thing???

RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder · 13/08/2020 20:53

Dean is a creepy perve.

MonicaGB · 13/08/2020 20:54

I don't get how some of the couples get to go fancy places like Singapore and Fiji whereas others are only in Australia. Seems a bit unfair.

Jo is still irritating me, but Sean is so gloomy. Who thought they would ever be a good match?

RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder · 13/08/2020 20:55

And he lies about his gut! Shock That’s MAFS monstrousness! You can be confused about your gut, but you’re not allowed to outright lie. Bad thumbface

LarkDescending · 13/08/2020 20:55

Davina at 26 is quite a bit younger than Tracey (34) but I agree the fillers haven’t done either of them any favours.

Sean’s fixation on a passing remark about psychic stuff is bizarre.

ClaudiaAndTheCauldron · 13/08/2020 20:56

@RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder
Yes he is Rinder. Way to excited by the 'swinging' conversation

LarkDescending · 13/08/2020 20:56

*Dean’s fixation, not Sean’s!

RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder · 13/08/2020 20:56

Why is Davina surprised that he’s not affectionate with her when she’s constantly stropping off about random things?

RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder · 13/08/2020 20:57

Sean is finally relaxing. Jo looks lovely.

houseofrabbits · 13/08/2020 20:59

@LarkDescending can't believe Davina is only 26!!

Sean seems like a completely different person now, he's actually putting in effort.

Yay John is back tomorrow.

RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder · 13/08/2020 21:01

Dh (who is totally not into this at all, honest) just turned to me and said, “What if they send Debbie back down the aisle for John?!” with enormous glee. He’s hooked Grin

SchadenfreudePersonified · 13/08/2020 21:02

I agree Rabbits - I am starting to think I was unfair about Sean.

Enjoy this - it's not often I admit I'm wrong (because I so rarely am, obviously)

Looking forward to the return of Non-Polynesian John. Hope he has better luck this time.

The honeymoon location may be down to maybe lack of passports.
Or jo not wanting to be too far away from her kids in case of emergency?

We are never wrong, we just make informed observations based on the data presented. As that data changes we update those observations to reflect the most current psychological developments. Obvs.
Honeyroar · 13/08/2020 21:11

Has John been on yet? I’ve missed a few days.

RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder · 13/08/2020 21:14

John is back tomorrow night

Yes, Rinder - this is what I meant to type - this basic tenet of the "Expert". I blame it on wasps and toothache befuddling my wits. Also on autocarrot being even naughtier than usual.

MonicaGB · 13/08/2020 21:47

I hadn't considered the passport thing, that makes sense. Jo went to Singapore though, so she was the furthest away from her kids.

Considering they are in the 'experiment' for about 3 months, how is it working for those with kids? Some of them a pretty young and having your parent disappear for that long is pretty irresponsible.

VinylDetective · 13/08/2020 21:49

Well Sean seems to be doing a lot better. He was really supportive with Jo tonight. They laugh at the same things, that counts for a lot in my book. Maybe it’s just a slow burner - 🤞.

And tomorrow we’ve got a man who openly admits to wanting a Barbie doll, God help us.

Bad thumbface is my favourite comment of the day! More guts being consulted tonight! Dean's face when Tracey mentioned the psychic Confused Dean's face when she mentioned the swinging Grin I hope she's not trying to impress him somehow. Won't work with him, he's now got an idea that she might go for that with him. I mean, she might want to, her choice of course! Poor Alycia. I was like that on a memorable shark watching trip once. Sea sickness feels like utter death. I felt she deserved an attentive man in a suit in that fancy restaurant, not a chap in a cap.
Emmy2020 · 13/08/2020 21:51

These ‘experts’ like stating the obvious don’t they!?

SchadenfreudePersonified · 13/08/2020 22:29

@Emmy2020

I would go further, Emmy.

I would say they like stating the BLEEDIN' obvious! Hmm

And Eau - I totally agree that Alycia deserved more of a Charming Prince than Cap Bloke, no matter how nice he is. i think he feels that he can't relax in front of her because she is made of spun sugar and if he accidentally farts or something she might shatter like glass, or melt like syrup, and he would be sweeping up shards of razor sharp glace icing, or wiping sticky smears off the chair. . .

(That "sticky smears" comment sounds so much more sordid than I intended it to.)

Oh my goodness. I actually feel quite sorry for Ryan. Davina strops off at every perceived sleight, yet when he clumsily asks her what’s wrong she says “oh nothing”.

Does she not realise that you have to actually communicate and people aren’t mind readers?!

Verdita73 · 13/08/2020 22:36

I know we lived with the season 4 couples for what was it 6 weeks but I feel we really got to know them - and perhaps even care ?
I can’t really feel anything really for these couples - yet .
I felt really sorry for Jo because she’s obviously misreading Sean’s feelings for her - either in desperation or misguided hope . Although I felt that tonight , maybe , Sean ‘had her back’.
The production team certainly pulled out all the stops for the honeymoon venues although I feel they were wasted on most of the men . Why did Ryan choose oysters if he’d never had them and didn’t like seafood ? Surely he didn’t believe in their qualities as aphrodisiacs.
I know I keep banging on about them but I do hope we get a ‘Alene and Simon couple’.
