@Italiangreyhound

Really don't like all the judgement of Sean. He's entitled to his feelings.

It was clearly very hot and he seems to suffer from some anxiety (which maybe should have meant he was not accepted for the programme- especially as I think thousands applied!)

He's not talking to camera, he's talking to himself and being almost constantly filmed!

He may not have even realised he was being watched so closely by camera they would hear the word 'shit'.

She may be the sort of woman who has built up hard shell due to being in a hard marriage. But she is a total stranger to him and he is feeling scared and under threat.

The way she behaved and the things she said were pretty much guaranteed to put off a lot of guys. Whether that is fair or not, I'd say it is what it is. Men are also entitled to not feel attracted.

I think she needs a brash, confident single dad. This is a real case of opposites not attracting.

During matching at no point did i hear the experts say anything like 'he really wants to be a dad' and clearly that is the most important factor in a match with a woman with young kids.

This. In spades. When she knealt down to have her photo taken she made some comment about being on her knees already and not married an hour or something like that. My DH has a mind like a sewer but this would have put him off in someone he has only just met. Jo was only interested in having a good time and Sean could have been anyone at all. She was oblivious to his obvious and overt discomfort and not one jot interested in getting to know him or understand him. That was obvious when she asked him if he was nervous and he said yes and she immediately said triumphantly, 'I'm NOT'. Awful behaviour.

KurriKawari · 12/08/2020 17:34

Imagine that comment about being on her knees was made by a bloke. Or when she was banging on the table? Or when they were in the lift and she swapped her beer for his? Or when she lay on the bed getting beer on her? Or if a tipsy bloke asked a woman to help him get undressed like she did?!
She seems ok. He seems ok. The OTT comments on here have me confused.

Is it you Shaden who suffers from autocarrot ? When I was quoting your ‘Alan Rickman’ quote , I KNOW I corrected ‘Alan RickmanSWORTH’ before I posted . I think you’ve infected me !

Oh Lordy!

Ughhh you lot! I was trying so hard to not watch this one, but then I couldn’t resist the urge to peep on here and now I’m
Going to have to watch it as some of your comments have piqued my interest. Luckily we are only 3 episodes in so I don’t have to super binge to catch up like I did the last time.

Destinysdaughter · 12/08/2020 19:46

As this couple seem.so lovely but is he the one with the mother from hell?

RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder · 12/08/2020 19:48

Why oh why do they keep matching quiet people with loud people?! Jo would be fine with an equally loud person. They could talk beside each other, never really listen, and live happily ever after.

And now we’ve got two more. Charlene and Patrick are being set up to fail.

I’m louder than dh, but I’m not loud and he’s not quiet

Charlene isn’t as loud as Jo and Patrick might not be as anxious as Sean, so it might not be quite as bad.

I think so
Eaumyword · 12/08/2020 19:53

Checking in, but watching 20min behind everyone else! Stupid fridge started leaking so Mr Eau decided that was the priority over MAFS. I'm currently considering my options...

RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder · 12/08/2020 19:54

Oh Mr Eau, you are going down in our estimations. Doesn’t sound like he has your back Sad

RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder · 12/08/2020 19:54

Ruby is quite the battle axe. I hope to grow up to be quite so formidable Grin

Destinysdaughter · 12/08/2020 19:55

Is Patrick's mum going to be the new Cheryl's dad? ( nicked from Twitter ) Grin

SchadenfreudePersonified · 12/08/2020 20:00

Am unable to join you telly wise due to wasps nest in the loft which has overflowed into a bedroom via some sort of wasp stealth attack. I am now living vicariously via your posts. Iwill watch it tomorrow in all its glory.

So - there's a horrible MIL, is there? Is she as bad as Big Andrew's mum

OP posts:
Destinysdaughter · 12/08/2020 20:03

Oh dear the mum is choosing his wedding outfit and telling him to clean his ears!

I’m not sure this is a good enough excuse Grin

We have evil MIL with mummy’s boy, divorcee, and Patrick has just said that looks are very important to him.
Charlene seems nice, but she’s doomed.

Are all Aussie blokes pisshead macho types? Yuk!

RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder · 12/08/2020 20:06

Davina and Ryan seem theoretically well suited, but I think despite saying she wants a “tradie” he might be a bit too uncultured. He makes Jesse look refined Grin

Ryan the Larrikin hinted at a chequered past. Did his best man advise him to button the shirt up and “hide the prison tattoo”?

I assumed that was a joke, but you’re right that it might not be!
SchadenfreudePersonified · 12/08/2020 20:17

Dammit!

Bleedin' hymenoptera! they's had all day to leak into the bedroom (and probably been leaking in all day, as it happens) but they pick now.

Mr Schaden has worked out where they are getting in. It is palace which looks almost impossible to repair without specialist equipment ad will therefore cost many of our English pounds to get someone in to block off (There's no way I'm allowing Mr Schaden, game ole bugger that he is, to balance a ladder on top of the conservatory n order to replace pointing above an upstairs window, trapping 40,000 furious wasps in the wall to come out via the loft and whatever covert route they are employing into the bedroom.

Little stripey bar-stewards.

Mean little faces they've got, an' all.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 12/08/2020 20:20

*A place, not a palace.

No way this house was ever a palace even at the best of times, cosy, yes; palatial, no.

OP posts:
RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder · 12/08/2020 20:20

Wasps are the worst. I had to get rid of two nests last year - luckily nowhere structural. Much empathy Schadenfreude.

So we have unimpressed bride and hopefully a groom that will chill out when he’s a bit less stressed (but I suspect not).

RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder · 12/08/2020 20:21

Ruby looks like she’s chewing a wasp. Here comes wedding number two!
