Hello All.

I hope it's bonza that I took the liberty of starting a second thread - just didn't want us gong walkabout in the bush (pardon my Fronch Grin) if we ran out of the other (whoops did it again!)

Joan, Botox would explain his blank, featureless expanse of face. Good theory. His fear of ageing would also explain why he’s so threatened by Nadia attracting 25 year olds.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 27/07/2020 15:25

I like Cheryl. She was so calm when faced with so much unwarranted abuse

I can't say I like her (though I stopped disliking her, IYKWIM), but I was very impressed that throughout it all she kept her cool and didn't once (as far as we are aware) descend to his level. I hope she achieved her ambition, too.

I think Nadia is probably has a lot more about her than has been shown I agree - I think she's probably gritting her teeth and thinking "just two more weeks" . . . (she may even be doing this for a bet! Grin). Also agree with Lark's analysis.

Is AnTHonys spoonyhead so shiny because it is bursting with botox?

Why didn't I think of this!? SO obvious!

RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder · 27/07/2020 15:32

I would have absolutely nothing to talk about with Cheryl, but I still would have had her back.

Palavah · 27/07/2020 15:42

Late to the party but chuckling at this thread! Just binged most of the series.

Also intrigued as to how physical they get with each other - are the kisses and handholding representative of casual snogging and smooching when the cameras are off?

Anthony is a truly awful human being and I felt sad watching Nadia let it pass without comment. Her sister totally has sussed him out - but it sounds as though -he's Nadia's type. :(

Did you see the 'real reason' that Lauren left Andrew on the wedding night?

It's hard not to look at the boobs - surprised none of them have popped out yet.

LunchBoxPolice · 27/07/2020 15:56

If I’ve learnt anything from this show it is that men play netball.

1984andout · 27/07/2020 16:18

@Palavah - o think we all had heard theories about why Lauren left Andrew but we're resisting googling in order to avoid spoilers.

Right now I think it's because he was an arse to a bouncer and she fled.

I laughed when Abandrew was doing his passive-aggressive 'people don't commit' at the dinner party because he also made comments that made it seem like he didn't play netball that much at all. I played netball for years and I was Hmm that he considered it some kind of achievement to remember where each player was allowed to go on court.

Pamalarrrr · 27/07/2020 16:55

@AnneOfQueenSables

I can't warm to Vanessa and it's confusing me because she reminds me of my friend's little sister and I like her little sister a lot but I don't think Vanessa is genuine about any of this. Grin Was anyone else surprised at how low maintenance the twins' mum and sister were? I explained a family of glamazons. Despite myself, I like Cheryl. She was so calm when faced with so much unwarranted abuse from Abandrew and the twins. I hope she did get a successful career as an insta-influencer and was swept off her feet by a nice man as soon as the programme ended.
I agree with absolutely everything you said!! Especially about the twins family - her dad too seemed so sweet! Not what I expected at all
RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder · 27/07/2020 17:19

I do think Vanessa is unbalanced by being with Andy. She seems really nice, her family are all great, but I think the constant battle to engage with him makes her come across as a bit one-dimensional. She’s not been able to relax and just enjoy any part of the process, which means I don’t think we’ve actually seen much of who she really is.

Andy is a nice guy (not a “nice” guy like Abandrew) but he needs someone who is as laid back as he is. Vanessa has got his back too loudly and he’s got hers too quietly. Another poor match by the experts that leaves them both feeling like they need to change, when actually what they need is someone more compatible.

Hopefully Andy will overcome his shyness a bit after this and meet someone, and Vanessa will realise that she is fine the way she is.

RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder · 27/07/2020 17:20

This show also makes it really clear how much having a difficult family can make you a less-attractive prospect. I wish Sean’s dad was my FIL.

Honeyroar · 27/07/2020 17:20

Ye x if you’d have lined all the mums up you’d have said Jesse’s mum was the twin’s mum. Perhaps that’s why Jesse likes her so much!

You really wouldn’t want to be on a netball team with Abandrew and the twins in it, would you! Nobody would have your back there! Must be a really bitchy club!

RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder · 27/07/2020 17:22

That’s probably why they all stopped coming along. They were sick of Abandrew trying it on and the twins bitching about whoever turned him down.

KurriKawari · 27/07/2020 18:00

Jesse and his "door". Does anyone know where it is? Narnia?

Sertchgi123 · 27/07/2020 18:38

Not long to wait now. Grin

Palavah · 27/07/2020 19:12

Agree Vanessa and Andy are too extreme for each other. She said on an early episode (possibly before the wedding)
"I dont want to be the chatter". It's no fun to feel as though there's silence if you dont say anything, but if you do then you're a motormouth.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 27/07/2020 19:36

I've come to the conclusion that the twins are Changelings - wicked fairy swapped them in their cradle, and the Real Twins are slaving way as laundresses if the Land of Faerie. The Good Folk are not people you should cross . . .

Totally agree Rinder - relationships shouldn't be places where people have to change - but rather that they have an opportunity to grow in a supportive and loving atmosphere.

RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder · 27/07/2020 19:48

Oh Andy “there’s not much more to me”

I’m loving the dramatic music over Andy doing nothing and saying little. He’s not bringing the drama guys. He’s not about drama.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 27/07/2020 20:46

I notice Spoony is wearing socks.

Has the stench of his feet reached his own delicate bottomed nostrils?

OP posts:
SchadenfreudePersonified · 27/07/2020 20:47

(Though wearing socks with formal shoes and shorts isn't perhaps the greatest ever sartorial decision . . . )

OP posts:
RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder · 27/07/2020 20:50

Doctor’s orders I reckon. I keep hoping Nadia has seen the light, but all he needs to do is give her the nod and I still think she’ll come running. She just wants him to declare his love.

lilgreen · 27/07/2020 20:58

Boring tonight.

RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder · 27/07/2020 21:02

Yup

RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder · 27/07/2020 21:03

Though Simon and Alene were pretty adorable. I’m so unbelievably bored of the twins. It’s all the same thing over and over.
