I did notice that Vanessa said it will be a long-distance relationship and that doesn't bode well.

I think once it is over Nadia and the twins will move on. I think V and won't last but I have high hopes for Simon and Alene and Sean and Susan.

I kind of feel they shouldn't have people with kids on this programme because it just doesn't seem fair to set people up when one person just cannot move because of kids.

Speaking of the notes, is anyone else thinking the doodles are getting unnecessary attention!!

Boat trip would be my date of choice out of those. But preferably with someone who didn’t make me burst in tears of pity every time I saw their face 🤣

I really do hope the nice couples find a way to make it work, but when one person gives up everything at the beginning of a relationship and the other person doesn’t, it creates a huge imbalance of power before dynamics have been established. And that is my pop-psychobabble for the day.

Lark, what you’ve just said leaves me feeling a mix of emotions. It’s crucial at this time that I feel like you’ve all got my back or it’s going to trigger a fight or flight situation. This is clearly out of my comfort zone but I’m willing to put the effort in, listen to my gut and use this as an opportunity for personal growth.

I can’t remember what happens tonight other than the clip of Nadia saying total bullshit!

Since all the other snippets have been taken completely out of context, I’m guessing that Nadia is talking about:-
-The accusation that she prefers Metal to Opera
-Someone suggesting that her modelling work isn’t real modelling
-Anthony’s right to go without socks and saying that it’s bullshit that his toes are so riddled with athletes foot that he smells like a Camembert left in the sun for four days (despite the fact that they can all clearly smell his feet)
-The outrageous suggestion that she was never willing to move for love

My money’s on the stinky feet.

That girl is Metal to the core, but is a denier because she knows it would betray her family's principles and break her mother's heart. She just can't bring herself to do it to them, and knows there would be no turning back.

Urgh! That’s probably what his feet are really like! We were urghing at that when he was getting ready for the wedding. Perhaps he only wears socks with sandals!

I go to New York a lot and notice a lot of people there don’t seem to wear socks. The subway smells like a testament to it! Very strange. I can’t understand why.

Oh and the dream! Of course Sharon’s dream which conveniently lays the groundwork for her to dump him as soon as the show is over, whilst still beating Michelle in the competition.

I don't know why that dream got any airtime. So ridiculous.

The twins are really shallow. They don't seem to have much personality at all.

I think as friends I'd like - Alene, Vanessa and Susan.

They seem down to earth and fun.

Nadia, Cheryl and the twins just don't seem to have anything about them.

I know it's edited heavily but that's my opinion

I can't warm to Vanessa and it's confusing me because she reminds me of my friend's little sister and I like her little sister a lot but I don't think Vanessa is genuine about any of this.
Was anyone else surprised at how low maintenance the twins' mum and sister were? I explained a family of glamazons.
Despite myself, I like Cheryl. She was so calm when faced with so much unwarranted abuse from Abandrew and the twins. I hope she did get a successful career as an insta-influencer and was swept off her feet by a nice man as soon as the programme ended.

Vanessa seems like a nice person but I feel like she’d be too loud to hang out with.

I think Nadia is probably has a lot more about her than has been shown- she seems to get on well with the other girls and there’s been a few time’s when someone’s been upset and she’s been the one to go and comfort them, I think she’s quite warm hearted. No idea what she’s doing with Spoony.

Pop-psychology time: fatherless Nadia yearns for a man to take care of her in a quasi-paternal way, and AnTHony’s wish to be an old-fashioned provider taps into that subconscious need. Unfortunately it also means she turns a blind eye to a parade of red flags.

Yes I think Nadia just gets swamped by big personalities. She’s probably lovely on a one-to-one basis.

Lark, that is some popping pop-psychology. I couldn’t agree more. She things she wants a strong father figure but doesn’t realise that strong men don’t need to perform masculinity the way Anthony does, they’re just calmly kind and practical. He’s not what she’s looking for at all, and it’s entirely the experts’ faults for putting her in the path of a predator.

I suspect the only reason Sharon’s dream is in there is that she’s going to hark on and on and on about it all sodding week, so they couldn’t cut it out.

I have read this thread and the previous thread in their entirity. There are some posts that are so funny, if the posters are not making a living as comediennes they have seriously missed their way. Brilliant.

And one thing Cheryl’s dad definitely “taught” her is how to stay dignified when under an unreasonable onslaught by a man. I suspect she’s quite used to having to patiently wait for a gap to speak, whilst letting it all roll over her.
