I hope it's bonza that I took the liberty of starting a second thread - just didn't want us gong walkabout in the bush (pardon my Fronch ) if we ran out of the other (whoops did it again!)

Also.....AnThony said he'd organised the opera performance because Nadia has a passion for music, he doesn't so she doesn't get to explore it/talk to him about it. Wtaf?!?! If you have a passion you shouldn't have to ignore it because your other half doesn't share it. That's not healthy. I have naff all interest in motorbikes but DH does and he'll come home and tell me about his rides and rally's and I'll listen, ask questions and nod along. He has zero interest in running but will ask me how my runs gone or how my parkrun was. like she said, Anthony has given nothing for her and almost expects her to slot into his lifestyle and her sacrifice everything

I used to like the flowers bigger than her head that she wore. I tried to make one out of fabric (we don't get that quality of blossom here in t' North) but I failed miserably.

Nadia has got the measure of Andrew but can’t or won’t do anything about it he’s just in this to get to the end on his terms I reckon. I think they’ll stay together then he’ll dump her. It will be a ‘I just wanted to make sure I could have you’ situation.

I think this, too. He's so controlling - everything has to be on his terms, and that will include ending the relationship (such as it is). When he goes on about being a "provider" I'll quite literally shouting at the telly "NO! NADIA, NO! He will never look after you and your children. he will financially control you. He will count out every penny and you will have to provide receipts! He will watch your children cough their little lungs up if you have spent your quota that week, rather than buy a bottle of Buttercup Syrup, and will justify this by saying it's teaching you how to manage your money properly! He will eat away at the fabric of your very soul over the decades and then chuck you without a second thought for some newer, shinier model because "you have never supported him" and "anyway, look at you - you're drab and boring and you've goon tits" etc

I don't know what it is with her - sometimes she seems on the ball with him and aware that he's a tw*t (I think that when she says "he's always complimentary" she's thinking - "he's a slimy bar-steward") - other times it's like she is a victim of the Hypnotoad or something. Being sung at in the woods was . . . awful! How very embarrassing.

If the experts tell me that one more action is “crucial” I’m going to.., well... continue watching probably, but most irately.

It does seem crazy how much control Sharon has over Michelle. She was basically telling her to leave in her "advice" to her in Thursday night. I feel for Michelle.

Vanessa and Andy are very dull. I'm not invested in them at all and often forget they're there. There's no way they'll stay together.

The twins are very much "Oh, Nick/Jesse has bought/given me XY and Z - I mentioned to him only yesterday that that was my heart's greatest desire in the whole wide world. It shows he really listens to what I am saying and really cares about me."

Yet as far as I can see the twins haven't bought either Nick or Jesse so much as a packet of chewing gum. It's all "I need him to listen to meeeee!" They never seem to think that these things go both ways.

Also - did anyone else think it a little unusual that both Spoony and Jesse wrote their notes in BLOCK CAPITALS? Do they not teach joined-up writing in Aussie schools, or is it so that the camera can pick it up more easily (cynical).

I don't think Jesse and Michelle have Done The Deed - I think we'd be able to tell by the spring in his step and the stupid grin he wouldn't be able to get off his face - but if they have, it's because Shazza and Nick have, and 'Shell can't bear to be left out. And it only happened once. And she made him feel he made such a mess of it that he's desperate to make things up to her for being such a disappointment between the sheets.

I think Sean and Susan, Nick and Michelle. And Scarlett and that obnoxious creep she was paired up with. It was obvious from their body language, I think that he hashed what he wanted and felt nothing but contempt for her. (To put it in proportion, I think, like Abandrew, he had nothing but contempt for every woman, except possibly his mother and sister. He was that type.)

Sadly I fear that Nadia was agreeing with Anthony. I think that he was complaining about in previous relationships people played games and she was agreeing that she had also had to cope with a lot of bullshit. Hope that I'm wrong! Anthony did look shocked but that could be editing or a reaction to her swearing.

Jesse is nice but he’s a v young 31 and I think not worldly enough for Michelle. I think he needs a younger partner.

He does, but he also seems like he doesn’t have much ambition or drive, so he needs to be with someone else happy with a small world really. Not criticising that, it just needed to be taken into account.
