Hello All.

I hope it's bonza that I took the liberty of starting a second thread - just didn't want us gong walkabout in the bush (pardon my Fronch Grin) if we ran out of the other (whoops did it again!)

Did you see the twins' Mum's face when Mish started on about Jesse's door?

I actually think that her speech was pretty good - she just should have said it weeks ago. As for her sister though

Honeyroar · 30/07/2020 22:27

Yes she was very honest. Jesse’s dad will be over the moon!

aceofbase1 · 30/07/2020 23:21

Does Jessie seem to struggle with reading? He reads and speaks to some degree (which makes me think it's scripted Confused) very slowly like a child who has just learnt to read. I really don't mean that in a nasty way.

Italiangreyhound · 30/07/2020 23:23

Really canmot see why they need to go through the 'ceremony' if one is going to dump the other! Cruel, unnecessary and not good telly. Very badly done, Married at first sight Australia!

I agree

The more I see of Shazza the more I dislike her.....she's going to be a nightmare MIL in the future.

Glad Mish finally had the guts to tell Jesse, just wish she'd of spoken first!

YourVagesty · 30/07/2020 23:31

Yy re. continuity. I also noticed it last night. When Simon was reading his vows, alene's hair kept changing. One minute she had a bit of stuff in her hair, the next it had gone.

1984andout · 30/07/2020 23:48

I've been playing Tetris and folding laundry because there's so much filler and recapping I don't really 'watch' it now.

It's such a bunch of horseshit.

Speaking of which I am looking forward to wankony trying to 'win' Nadia tomorrow.

Hope she pushes him in the sea or wherever they film it.

Italiangreyhound · 31/07/2020 00:41

It's not fair to allow Jesse to assume if he had spoken up soon we he would have won Michelle's heart! I think it was a bad match plain and simple. She was not interested in him as a romantic partner just a mate.

I agree. And when Michelle hugged him she said you read that really well. So I think she acknowledged that, and that he’d done a good job getting through it. Might explain the continuity point too, if they had to do a few takes too.
lilgreen · 31/07/2020 07:11

Perhaps he is dyslexic. I agree that the ceremony and vows and getting all dressed up to dump someone are not in the best taste. I’m not sure it would be made that way in the IK.

SpanishFly · 31/07/2020 08:14

Sharon going nuts at Mich adding Nick on Snapchat was very weird.
But even weirder was when she said "I don't even have YOU on Snapchat"

lilgreen · 31/07/2020 08:21

Very weird. Was so glad the producers didn’t do a twin vow renewal. Now that would’ve been awful.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 31/07/2020 08:24

Jesse really showed what a nice guy he is by reaching out when he was being dumped. He deserves someone who adores him and I’m sure he’ll get plenty of offers. Glad she came clean...finally.

I agree - but please, God - don't let him empty his bowels in front of her . . . Envy

Imagine spending hours and hours filming the scene of you being dumped and having to do retakes. Cruel.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 31/07/2020 08:25

I'll bet they spent hours in the production room discussing how they could get away with it, before they realised it was a bridge too far even for them.

I think if Michelle could drag herself out of her sister's Satanic clutches, she'd have a chance of becoming a decent human being.

I think she honestly felt for Jesse - but that she had put off this moment because she couldn't consider, even for a moment, leaving her sister's side during the "experiment".

But at least we all know which is the "evil" twin.

Oh god I’d forgotten about the sit down in the loo!! Though I can’t believe he was doing a number 2! DH will sometimes sit for a wee as he is very tall and sometimes can’t be arsed to aimBlushHmm. Still, too early days for that even!

SpanishFly · 31/07/2020 08:37

I'm not sure re the continuity thing. When the camera points at the sunset, the overall lighting suggests it's getting dark. When the camera pointed at J and M, the camera auto adjusts to brighten everything up. I've got photos of a sunset that looks really dark, but the photos of us afterwards look like they were taken earlier in the day

Alsohuman · 31/07/2020 08:46

So tonight it’s my favourites, Sean and Susan. And the grand finale - Nadia giving Anthony the push. I can’t wait to see the look of incredulous fury on his face. Priceless.

CatkinToadflax · 31/07/2020 08:47

I really felt for Jesse. He was so gracious and genuinely kind to “Mish” (no, autocorrect, I don’t want you to change her name to “Amish” - that would be in no way appropriate) while she was dumping him.

With all of the speeches, with each of them waiting to the end of the final sentence to find out if they’d been reprieved or not, it was like their partner was doing them a favour not to end it.

I fear that Nadia will chicken out and stick with the Sockless Wonder.

Eaumyword · 31/07/2020 09:05

Good episode! I thought Jesse was gracious too. Obviously it was better TV the way they did it, but I'd like to think in real life nobody would let someone declare love for you whilst you knew you were dumping them. You'd stop them and go first.

KurriKawari · 31/07/2020 09:32

After Susan & Sean are they showing other episodes? Because there's two episodes of them post-ceremony and then a reunion show with all 10 couples.

They are really dragging this out now - I find myself wandering off to de-worm the cat.
It occurred to me that it's almost always the women agonising about the relationship: will their partner be loyal, honest, genuine etc. Whereas the men seem to think that if she's attractive and available she's The One. Am I just an old cynic? Or perhaps women realise they have more to lose if they chose badly?
