Have you all noticed that CC is stealthily becoming more shouty and aggressive?

It's steadily losing the gentleness and charm that made it so enjoyable to watch.

I'm starting to remember why I stopped watching regularly

Yes I agree ,I think we still have a way to go before we get the ridiculous over dramatic story lines ,but it's certainly changing

Why does Rita have a fork attached to her lapel?

I don't know I was wondering that is she in a female version of the square dealers and it's a secret sign???

I just came on here to remark on Rita's amazing brooch. What an icon!
I love this era of the Street. The Square Dealers, Shadow and Son...soon to be followed by the Free Deirdre Rachid saga! It reminds me of very happy days at university. I wish I would have known just how care free life was then.

I’m enjoying it currently. I like Alec a lot. In fact I like most characters.

I think that Becky is written a bit too immature even for 14 (although I like the actress) and I don’t understand why ordinary, slightly grouchy Fiona is set up as this alluring goddess (her strengths are her work ethic and her bravery in buying the salon at 20, not charisma or beauty) but apart from that I really like it.

Jamie is incredibly well acted. I can see why the actor’s career endured.

I think that Tricia is great too, so believable as a rundown single parent on the poverty line - but the actress changed direction and is enjoying a successful political career now, of course. Multi-talented!

Alma’s unrequited crush on Stephen is written/acted so well. Really nuanced and sympathetic. Mike doesn’t take it seriously.

I'm fed up of Alma mooning over poor Stephen!

Also, contrary to what others have said, I always thought Fiona was stunning. I remember really liking her dress sense back in the day too.

Alec really is a crap agent if he thought Fiona had a great voice. Shes no more than an ok karaoke singer. Hardly sensational like he described her

Jim is becoming more and more unlikable by the day

I remember Angela Griffin disliked the storyline as she said she wasn’t a strong enough singer to pull it off.

Tracy Shaw did actually release a couple of records. Her singing voice is just the same as Maxine’s - ropey.

Why does Becky need a babysitter if they’re not going away overnight? She’s supposed to be 14/15. And the budgie thing is a bit odd at her age. They should have made the character a bit younger if they wanted these storylines i think.

Maureen has become really shrill

Why on earth didn't Trisha take advantage of Carl lamping her one assaulting her in a room full of witnesses to get him banged up for another couple of years?

I dont like how controlling Raquel has become. She makes Curly hand his resignation in to the square dealers just because she doesn't like it. Its obvious since she came back from her course that she thinks she deserves better than what Curly and Coronation St can give her.

Where the hell did they find Becky’s friend?!

Also, why does Kelly dress like a 70 year-old retired sub-postmistress?

Yes I hate how Kelly dresses plus her awful hair lol.

Yes I saw Tanya, Kelly does dress very old for her years ,and I really wouldn't put her and Ashley together ,I Found the snogging scene with Bill and Maureen very cringey
