Jim and Fiona scenes are 🤢

Anybody any idea why Jim calls Alec Sandy?

I thought it was because Sandy was sometimes used as a Diminutive for Alexander? Alec is an Alexander I think?

Sandy is used in Scotland, and a lot of Belfast. Jim calls people whichever form of their name he chooses so he does, Elizabeth.

I've been way behind, just watched Derek's funeral. Will be interesting to see when I've watched enough to catch up to this message as I'm only reading up to what I've seen to avoid spoilers (you know what I mean)

The question about "Sandy" has just triggered a memory.
I think soon Jim will start calling Gary Mallet "Scooby". I cannot explain that one!

Ken's a bit useless isn't he ,he took Denise to court and now he can't cope with Daniel for more than a couple of days 🙄,and tbh Daniel wasent that bad he was just doing what Toddlers do ,makes me laugh that Martin can just take a few days off whenever he feels like it ,no swapping of shifts etc 🙄

I don't think it was a shock, they kept building up sightings of him so everyone knew except Deirdre. Her spectacles were rose tinted.

From memory, the shock wasn’t that he was a fraud, but the realisation that it was going way beyond a typical ‘Deirdre picks a wrong ’un’ storyline. No one could work out what was going to happen next.

How many more pieces is Jim going to say to Fiona? Every episode he comes to her flat just to say his piece 🤣
