Obviously because of Gillian Murphy the acting skills and plot lines etc

@thisstooshallpass watch it with subtitles! No show compares to it. I didn't love breaking bad or GOT, appreciated them but that's all. The Wire continues to be the show to which all others are measured for me. :-)

There’s something about the German language I love. If you want another German programme Babylon Berlin is wonderful too.

Detectorists has to be a slow-burning no-brainer in this category. Mackenzie Crook is a genius.

I seem to recall rewatching Twin Peaks within the past five years or so and not seeing what all the fuss was about (don't get me wrong, in the 90s it was one of my favourite dramas).

Outlander is so sexy

@shartsi is that the male to male rape you refer to as sexy or the beating and rape of the women at the end of the latest season? I almost had to switch it off it was so brutal! I do like outlander but wouldn't refer to it as "sexy"!
