Line of Duty was great but I never understood how Steve and Kate were able to go undercover all the time in police stations in such a small town without any officers ever recognising them

Game of Thrones - nothing has come close to how invested that got me. I had quite a few issues with it but it was real ‘event’ tv for me and I miss it. I did plan to watch it all the way through again but now I know the ending I’m not sure I want to!

I’m a pretty bad example for things like this, most of the popular series tend to leave me cold. I didn’t get very far into Breaking Bad - thought all the people in it were awful and found it hard to understand why I should care about them or what happened to them. Feel similarly about Ozark, though we continue to slog through that as DH really likes it. This Is Us is forever recommended to me, I’ve watched it a few times but find it quite corny and like it’s constantly obviously trying to tug the heartstrings.

But then I watch some utter shite and love it, even when it’s terrible (see The Vampire Diaries )

Parks and Recreation is probably my favourite series that’s not GOT, except for the first and very last series which weren’t very good. Comedy wise I also love 30 Rock and Brooklyn 99, and think The Royle Family was a masterpiece (if you discount some of the later Christmas specials).

Detectorists is television perfection. Beautiful, heartwarming but profound exploration of shared passions and friendship. Makes you glad to be alive.

Can I also add 'Howard's way'? Utter 80s cheese fest but we loved it as it was filmed around where I was brought up!

Hmm, have just looked up Lost. Plot sounds good! When it says 'they find they're not alone on the island', it doesn't mean aliens or suchlike, does it? I hate Sci-fi, so wouldn't bother to watch if so.
