Our Girl Thread 56 "Stay Obsessed"

We have been discussing the series Our Girl since the first one aired in 2014 and are now on number 56! Occasionally between discussions of Our Girl, we watch the 1990s series of Soldier Soldier.

So she thinks of all the thinks she shouldn't have said - I wonder to whom?

Maisie to the rescue and just in time by the looks of things as the building is about to collapse.

Never fear - Maisie is here - the singing alerted her - well it had to be good for something.

Of course, Maisie is doing a Georgie and just wading in to danger. Oh when will they ever learn.

That was a fortuitous change of helmet, or it would have been a swift end to the series.

Out he comes looking like one of the living dead!

Now just leave Milan in there and save us all a lot of bother

The cavalry is here.....too late and the house collapses. Niceish effects though.

Maisie blows her own trumpet a bit there - not shy about claiming success.

I'm beginning to see this now as the start of Georgie's PTSD - she has flashbacks too.

I bet Milan thinks "What an idiot that woman is!"

CJ sounds a bit terse - he's doing that little boy smile thing, but he should be tearing her off a strip!

CJ tells her off - that’s a rare occasion.

Another creepy guy - Da Chang or whatever he's called.

Milan is being cleaned up and Georgie is getting off more or less scot free. CJ clearly suspects what she was up to. He is not himself at all.

Oh here is Thara and has a heart to heart with Rab and Maisie. Must be dreadful to be orphaned at such a young age.

Noooooooo, the mobile with the everlasting battery!

Oh don't be so wet Rab - she didn't find it, she nicked it!

Rab - you should have taken it back and we’d been spared so much.

Kingy suspects CJ isn't acting quite normally. "I prefer an enemy I can see". That's a bit like us with the coronavirus just now. :(

Meanwhile, Georgie has gone to sleep with the children. I never did quite work out why she did that, apart from it being a plot device I suppose.

Creepy bloke is back trying to traffic the kids or whatever.

With hindsight we can see that CJ is having trouble at home here and his head isn't in the game at all. The problem is we didn't really get to see what was behind this. There wasn't a reveal on this for ages.
