E4 have been showing it in the evenings and you can watch all the seasons online on their catch up.

Oh the nostalgia.

I forgot how much I shipped Xander and willow!
Also, it really makes me wish I had friendhips like buffy does.

Who did you guys ship?
Oh and Angel, Spike or Reilly for buffy?
I'm team spike lol.

I think drewcilla was my favourite character of all, think she is just a great female villain.

OP posts:
dudsville · 22/07/2020 16:44

Season 7 episode 15. Did men make the first slayer?

dudsville · 22/07/2020 16:46

Oh, sorry, need to watch a minute more! Amazing how much forgotten.

Binglebong · 22/07/2020 22:08

Ooh watching The Order and guess who'd just popped up? I seem to unknowingly watch a lot of JM.Grin

swimkiwipanda · 22/07/2020 22:53

Omg series 7 episode 17. I don't remember this one last time round. I'm all waaa-rrgghh (whatever that means). Soo many layers.

swimkiwipanda · 22/07/2020 23:11

I love that Buffy seems to get hair extensions between episode 17 and 18 in season 7. Kinda ridiculous. First evil is coming...need new hairdo 😂

swimkiwipanda · 23/07/2020 00:24

Omg again, s7 ep 19 when they all tell Buffy to leave...

swimkiwipanda · 23/07/2020 02:54

There is so much packed into the last few episodes. Really enjoyed the Spike/Buffy story.

swimkiwipanda · 23/07/2020 10:15

Buffy seems to forgive Spike quite easily for his killing rampage in S7. Same with Willow. Whereas kills Anya as she has no purpose to her.

Buffy makes Spike admit it was the best night of his life then is non commital. I kind of wanted that to touch Buffy more.

Poor Xander. Saves the team so many times then loses an eye and Anya. Is it me or does he lose his edge/ sharpness in S7 ?

Plot wise, it took them so long to figure out they needed to fight an army and come up with a plan, when all they did was plan in S1-6?

They all threw her out then it was all like fine? Can't quite get that one...bit quick.

Also the Giles/Buffy relation gets a bit too strained in S7. The whole let's go shopping tomorrow, I didn't love that.

I did like the handing over power to the Potentials, genius. Also I get that throwing Buffy out served a purpose, she had to realise what to do. And the resolution of Spike's early story showing how his mother was well done. I did not really trust Kennedy.

shouldbeironing100 · 23/07/2020 12:26

I binged watched it all 10 years ago and really enjoyed it. I recently saw it was on and my first thought was that I would not watch it again because it would take over.

So... I did watch it and yes, it did take over!

I didn't really enjoy season 7. It seemed a bit rushed but I find that all final seasons are. It's like they are trying to cram too much in.

Too many potentials and would have liked more of Buffy and Spike.

Have only seen a few episodes of Angel. I actually have the whole series but have never got round to watching it. Maybe because if I did, that would be it and no more possible episodes to watch one day.

swimkiwipanda · 23/07/2020 16:58

@shouldbeironing100 Exactly what I did! I don't regret the second watch as there is so much more to it the second time round. I only remembered the key episodes and did not so much appreciate the character and relationship development, whereas this time I did, also the acting, all of the main characters were good in their own way even tortured soul Angel.

I think my favourite all round season was season 3.

swimkiwipanda · 25/07/2020 15:24

Started on Angel now 😂

swimkiwipanda · 26/07/2020 19:35

My goodness Angel is quite dark.

shouldbeironing100 · 26/07/2020 23:21

I have to admit that I found some episodes of Angel a bit scary. How pathetic is that?!
I was living alone when I watched it. That's my excuse.
Maybe now that I'm a lot lot older (and don't live alone) perhaps it wouldn't be so bad.

swimkiwipanda · 27/07/2020 09:19

Glad its not just me! The one about the Scourge where Doyle dies, the whole concept and ending. Also the demon child that tried to burn his house down, what was positive about that?!

It gets better when they get into the cops story about her Dad, although that didn't end well, and the back story of Angel, and Faith turns herself in.

NewKittyMeow · 27/07/2020 14:07

DH and I have been working our way through these - I realised I'd never actually seen season seven so it's all new. I'm around the same vintage as the Scoobies were first time round, and am amusing DH by saying, several times each episode, "I had a top/boots/trousers/coat just like that!". Ah, nineties/noughties fashion. It's making me very nostalgic.

We've just watched 7.19 and I can't believe Buffy didn't tell them all to fuck off out of HER house if they don't want her to lead.

NewKittyMeow · 27/07/2020 14:09

I'm not sure I phrased that clearly - I was the same age as the Scoobies were, when Buffy was first screened.

shouldbeironing100 · 27/07/2020 16:17

NewKittyMeow I had several clothes that were very similar too! I was stylish then. Those were the days. I'm sure I still have a couple of things but they wouldn't fit me now.

swimkiwipanda I can't decide if to watch Angel or not as it may take over everything. House needs cleaning, meals need making blah, blah, blah.

Didn't the actor who played Doyle die? Very sad. I'm not going to Google it though otherwise I will lose a couple of hours lost in Google land

swimkiwipanda · 27/07/2020 19:36

Gosh, Allen Quinn died in 2002 of a heroin overdose. Very sad.

I should stop watching as technically lockdown is over so there is no need to binge watch Angel. I haven't watched box sets in years so it has been quite enjoyable to get into a drama. I've also learned how easy it is to buy/rent shows/films online.

I think I will schedule 2 Angel episodes or nothing will get done.

shouldbeironing100 · 28/07/2020 21:11

I think you are very good to be able to schedule just 2 episodes at a time.

When I get into something I can sit and watch and watch until the early hours.

swimkiwipanda · 29/07/2020 15:43

Does anyone think the karaoke bar demon is no use whatsoever to the gang? He sent Angel on a to the death mission for Darla and all his advice is soo vague 😂

swimkiwipanda · 30/07/2020 01:50

Ha ha in a later episode the karaoke demon jokes about his advice and Angel says 'what, pointless and deadly?' 😂

Me and Angel, two minds alike you see 😂

shouldbeironing100 · 30/07/2020 14:57

I think that the actor who played the karaoke demon also died. So sad.

I still can't decide if to start watching Angel and have a couple of weeks of doing as little as possible.

BigBadVoodooHat · 30/07/2020 15:00

I think that the actor who played the karaoke demon also died. So sad.

He did. It was due to heart complications following a dental infection, as I recall. Until I read about it I would never have imagined that a dental infection could lead to a fatal heart condition. He was fairly young, too. Thirties, I think.

Lorne. I always enjoyed the 'Lorne green' pun Grin
